155/80R12 tyres

In India do we have 155/80R12 tyres.

Checked but couldnt find. Currently my Zen has 155/70R12 but lower profile and rim means more trouble.

Also i want help on suspension modification on uprgading to 13" tyres.

My Works Manager is not in opinion of it and feels car will bottom out very easily.

There are little options in 12" tyres. Would be difficult to find the said tyre.

But if you are looking at only increasing profile/height of the tyre, you could do a better job by upgrading rims to 13". The tyres could be 155 / 70 R13. This combination will give you almost similar height as 155 / 80 R12 tyres. I'm not too sure but most of the cars in India are comfortable with 1" upsize.

my mechanic told me tat switching to 13 inch wheels is not good for engine, and tat he told me in an "automotives" authorised maruti workshop. i reminded him that zen did come wit 13 inchers( mine is 2001 vxi wit 12 inchers , same as on alto n 800) but he was not able to tel me why maruti discontinued wit 13 n gave 12 for last few years. would swtiching to 13 inch wheels wit 155/70 tubeless michelins help??any possible problems??

is it advisable to upgrade my 2001 zen vxi from 145/70 r12 to 155/70 r13. my showroom mechanic from automotivea manufacturers , belapu advises against it

but zen did come wit 13 inchers

zen was stopped from 13 inch production to 12 inch because of other issues...

the PCD was changed from 114 to 100. dont worry about all that..

buy 4 a star black rims for 2000, set of 4 from maruti spares.

put 165/65 R13 michelin XM1+ or bridgestone turanza..or appolo accelere too..enjoy your drive
