In march, delear is also giving accessories worth Rs 3,000 free with Ritz and cash discount of Rs. 22,000. So now the cost difference has increased to Rs. 49,000.

cash discount of 22,000? is it on the deisel or the petrol variant? and what all accessories did the dealer promise to give?

i've booked the zxi Ritz and i think there's a cassh discount of 18000 for tthis month and the dealer denies to give any freebies as he says that in the 18,000 rs discount offered by the company 60% of the cost is borne by the dealer !

Swift has started showing age now. Also new swift would arrive next year and you might feel then that you are driving a phased out model. having said that siwft is not a bad choice at all.

But you can take a TD of Figo..its worth it.

Yes, both the cars have the same k-series engine. The only difference is the exterior style and fit and finish, interior quality, style and the inside space and the most important thing is that these are two different cars with two different driving styles. VW is offering a brand new 1.2liter diesel engine on the Polo especially designed and manufactured keeping Indian conditions in mind.

Hi Everyone, I wanted to buy a bigger car earlier but to budget constraints I have decided to go in for a small car only. My budget now is around 5 lac but since I am taking a loan I can streach it a bit.

As of now I have booked Swift VXi (black) petrol, but due to price hike its on road cost is coming out to be 4.97 Lac in Delhi. Maruti is giving a 22K discount on Ritz and since it is cheaper than Swift, it is coming around 4.5 Lac on road.

So I got little confused now, and since Polo also has been launched in similar range, confusion has increased two fold.

My monthly run is less than 1000Kms so I guess I should buy petrol car only. Main considerations are look, low maintenance and driving pleasure.

Also, since I wanted to buy a black car, and Polo black is available only in comfortline, it is coming out to be little expensive but if I can get away with white, it is cheaper than Swift with almost same features.

Please suggest which one I should go for. I have to buy by April max.

I cant comment on other cars. I have a RITZ VXi PETROL& believe me its the best in handling, comfort, noiseless, fuel efficiency. There’s a bit of roll over while cornering on high speeds, but definitely not much an issue. Suspension is fine, comfort is the best. You can feel as if you are riding a sedan. Only the side pillar appears quite wide & obstructs easy view on the sides, but it would be the same with other cars. The tall boy  design gives you a feeling of being perched in a very comfortable position. The sitting position is the best with more of your weight properly balanced unlike cars with low heights. Overall its very high value for money. I can’t think of any option in this segement. Surprisingly, although initially it took off very well, the sales seem to be lower than other cars. Its looks always have extremes. Either one like it very much or hates it like anything.

Ritz is the best choice. It has Power, Fresh look, Space, Pleasant interiors and the best engine. Initially, I didn't like the rear looks of the Ritz. But, i was impressed with it's performance and ignored the looks. Now, i love the rear looks may be because i'm used to it... Other thing is, after couple of thousands, you would look for comfort, power and mileage. Go for RITZ. It's giving 13kmpl in Pune city with 100% a/c and on highway 16kmpl with 100% a/c (Avg speed 90km/h) with full load. If you maintain between 80 and 90 km/h it would definitely give 18kmpl. Good luck. Thanks.
