Dear Sir, I have been advised by a few of my friends to get a "free-flow" done and change my air filters to a K&N filter to enhance power. I have a Honda City 1.5 EXI (2001) with about 50K on the dial. I have the following questions: 1. Does it, if at al, improve performance if I do these changes, if so how much? Does it affect engine life? 2. If the power increases, is there an increase in petrol consumption as well? 3. Where in Mumbai can I get these modifications done reliably? And for approximately how much? Thanks for your time!

Hello Mr. Sharma, I had already read the mentioned discussion, however this does not discuss about the "free flow" exhaust system. Would the free flow also manage to give a mere 3-5% boost with the risk of problems if not fitted properly? Thanks for your time again!! Anindya

Dear Anindya, Getting Free-Flow done to your car is far more sophisticated thing than replacing your ordinary filters to K & N. Risk is more here, hence you really need some good workshop for this to be done. Your car's entire exhaust system is replaced. Cost comes around 10-15k. Power boost is quite noticeable.

I know someone who has done some amazing engine mods in lower parel. Let me know where you stay, or drop me a mail.
Your budget is the limit to this. This guy can help you will all engine mods, but he doesnt do any cosmetic mods.
