I want to add Power windows in my Alto Lxi, does anyone have any idea that how much it will cost, I checked on Maruti Genuine Acessories website and found that Front Power Windows are available for Alto, but they have not mentioned the price.. One other question, How they will attach power windows switch?? Means will they remove and change the whole door plastic pannel from inside or will they do some cutting in the existing door???

MODS I've posted the same thread in " Performance Modifications" section by mistake so please remove that thread from there...

Vickky, your other thread is disposed off as you wished.

I searched a bit for power windows for alto on the net and the figures were of the order of Rs.4600/- for front two windows, to 11000/- for all 4 windows, to 6500/- for 2 front MGA windows. But that was only a google search. It is still a good idea to go to the local market and find out, or have some personal experiences of people corroborate this data.

Vickky,

I am a newbie here, and I have got a new Alto LXI, I believe, by now you would have installed the power windows. I am also in a dilemma as to whether fit the power windows and remote central lock with dealer or check outside shops.

So ,  I would like to hear from your what have you done finally so that i could take it as a tip for me.

Go for Autocop Power Windows. They will remove the manual handle and add a switch with a small base. No cutting shutting. It'll look like ones that OEMs provide.

^^ Gautam, you look to be an autocop representative. Please do not give biased advises here. I am not criticising the brand but its better we not promote a single brand. Please refrain from marketing autocop here.

Dear sanshrinand,

I'm not promoting my brand... btw I'm about to r*****n. I'm helping out people by providing info. I know where Autocop is good and where it isn't. Like Autocop Trackpro - Navigation Aid for Vehicles: This product is not worth buying and the competitors are providing better modules than Autocop. So please don't feel like I'm trying to promote Autocop or so. Autocop has the best service all over India; this fact everyone knows. So just helping !

Regards,

Gautam
