Hey,

Some update friends.Got my innova back. The guy at the service station said that the brakes got jammed due to it being press twice in quick succession. Well i didnt buy the story and have been cautious since.

yesterday again my brakes got jammed again while trying to avoid an inconsiderate two wheeler fellow and this time i am pretty sure I pressed the brake just once. It took some considerable time to get the wheel rolling after releasing the brake. Now i am really scared using the vehicle. Not reliable at all. What do I do?

Well again my zen met wt a serious accident.the driver went and hit the back of a truck. Luckily seat belts were a life saver. My employees sitting at the back were injured even though it was a head-on impact. It now doesnt have a roof.Undecided

Tells us about the importance of seat belts.

Regards,

Vinay Pillai

FE crazy me!

Innova: Something funny is going on!! Does the jamming occur only when you brake suddenly or even when you gently press the pedal? Next you need to determine which brake is jamming - one or all (or the front pair or rear pair). Take the car out on an empty stretch and experiment.

Zen: The rear passengers can well be injured if the impact is strong enough. The seats in front of them may seem soft but it is only superficial (maybe an half an inch or so of foam cushioning againt the metal back). Seat belts for rear passengers are recommended but unfortunately these have become standard only in recent cars.
