Convert maruti omni in automatic transmission

i lived in delhi,will any one suggest me that is it possible to convert the manual with automatic transmission in omni?what would the expected cost and please provide guy,s name with phone no.s

Automatic transmission is something which is difficult to add-on, particularly in case of vehicles like omni, where the retrofit costs themselves turn out to be comparable with the entire vehicle cost.

There are no automatic in the car type like omni. The cheapest car where you get an automatic is probably Santro. And this stuff is not like add-on, where you can take manual off and put automatic in, as the transmission is mostly integrated in the engine block, thereby making it difficult to retrofit.

Why are you interested in converting omni to automatic? bumper to bumper traffic? You can probably alter your driving style to suit the traffic than go for something drastic like a transmission change. Let us know.

ur suggestion is right i hav asked most of the people.i m intrested in converting to automatic bocoz i want something change when i drive in the road. i hav omni a/c fitted when i drive it on summer other van driver got surprised.

why dont you buy a new car with AT. Very well said by krishna its going to cost more than the cost of your Omni(if at all it can be done).

Sorry for off topic but can you please give some more information about the AC in your OMNI. I too have an OMNI and would like to fit an AC on it. Do you face any dificulty? Where is the blowers fitted? can i have some pics pls

Not Advisable. Stay away from fitting automatic on your own. Company fitted is O.K
