Well I Own Duo model .its 1 year 5 months old. at the begining when it was a month old i got the average on 22.5 litres of lpg about 330 km but as the months passed it is now changed to 180 km decendingly decreasing from 330 km to 300 then 280 then 250 to 180 etc.what i hate now with lpg is the obstacle to better pick up of car. many times i went to authorized maruti suzuki show room with average complian bu the same problem.i like to drive it on petrol rather than lpg as i get 23 km/litre on petrol or convert it to CNG.Here i want to know the precautions for converting it to CNG.Can anyone please help me.....

my wagnor duo just completed 350 km . i would like to know is there any difference in milege in petrol model and duo mode

ALSO LET ME KNOW BOTH THE MODEL ENGINES ARE SAME .......... OR NOT?

Please reply............

yes both the engines are same and on petrol Duo model gives 23km/litre average but lpg will cheat after few months

hi Sir,

pls do reply to my question....

so for the time being i m simply doing what my other Wagon R Duo mates have told me to do ... ie before stopping the car, driving it on petrol for abt 500mts-1km.

waiting for your reply ...

with maruti suzuki wagnor duo theres no problem with starting. The kit is automatic and it always starts on petrol.Switching off the engine should be with whatever fuel we run the car it should not be converted to petrol mode.It will decrease the average. For better milage the flow of water from silencer should be perfect and the timing of the car should be 5 degree for wagnor Duo.what i noticed in my Duo was the problem with the timing. But when it was changed to 5 degree i have recoverd my 330 km of average on 22.5 litres lpg gas.

Vidhur,

I hope you have asked averages of Mumbai Duo owners who have been using for quite a few months. In which case I should better not expect more than 9kmpl in Mumbai city. FYI, I got 13.5 kmpl on highway.

If Karan is getting 13-14 in Delhi that is because the road network & traffic is far better. I have travelled in Delhi where I could see the change Sheila Dikshit has made in the roads after reducing traffic signals.

harsh..wagnor duo is giving proper average.i dont think it 13 or 14 km. i get 22km/litre on petrol and 15km/litre on lpg .my car is responsive.i found the major problem with timing as it is changed due to some factor .if it is done properly then ur avergae is fine.

Hi,

You can improve mileage of WaganR Duo atleast by 4-5% & sometimes even 7-8% on highways  by simply changing the spark plugs of your car. Shift to Iridium spark plugs which not only increses the mileage  but gives a much better driving pleasure with better pickup & smooth running of engine. I am saying this with my experience. Iridium spark plugs are more costly than ordinary spark plugs, but take my word they are value for money.

That could have happened due to low coolant.

What did the mechanic say/diagnose?

I'm not sure - by hearsay - it would house 80% of the tank capacity.

In all probability there should not be any issue with the new car.  How much mileage does your car return?
