Hello friend I am going to purchase fiat adventure shortly kindly let me know how much FE it will return in Delhi city with A/C on 100%.Further i wish to clarify that if two new cars of the same make may return different fuel avg. considering that the driving style & conditions are same. Also i plan to retrofit a cng kit on adventure please let me know how much mileage i should get from 1kg. of cng from this model. Regards. S K.chugh Delhi

Dear Chugh, Mileage of Adventure in Delhi with AC on all the time would be 9 kmpl. Yes, two cars of same make/model/version/year may give you different mileage even if the way of driving and conditions are same. These two cars may have different wear and tear. After CNG-fitting, you will be getting 12-13 km/kg of CNG.

DEAR SIR Would like to know the following after fitting of cng on my adventure. -- by how many BHP the power of this 100 bhp car go down once i shift from petrol to cng i.e the loss of power. -- while the car runs on cng is there any effect on the cooling power of the A/C. --In the long term will the cng combustion have more wear & tear effect on the engine. -- The constant dead wt. of 70kg. i.e cylinder + gas,will it affect the suspension parts of the car in the long run. Dear Chugh, All of your doubts are genuine ones and are true or partly true at least. But unfortunately there is no certain measurement for the same. Engine power goes down for sure when you run car on CNG. Still people have noticed 5-15% power-loss practically. Cooling power isn't affected at all. The only compensation is engine power, rest all is fine. Yes, maintenance goes up a bit, not much though. Suspensions are not affected either. Yes, there is extra weight of 70kg but it really doesn't harm noticeably.

Dear Sir, thanks very much for your reply. wish to know whether % improvement in mileage on cng would be similar on all types of engines e.g esteem, wagon r, santro, optra or adventure.Or you feel that different co. engines with difference in the technology would return appreciably diff. mileage on cng. Some of my friends have cng fitted esteem & wagon r these guys have got 50% more mileage on per kg. of cng as compared to per litre of petrol. but i have not come across any body running an adventure on cng that is the reason of my anxiety & i wish to clarify through your knowledge & wisdom. Dear Chugh, Yes, this percent is similar for maximum cars, but still it deviated a bit from car to car. You don't need to worry about CNG in Adventure, it will work fine. The reason for not finding much Adventures on CNG is that Adventure is a car meant for performance. CNG takes it down on it and Adventure owner simply don't want this to happen. They want their cars to fly.
