You do not seem to have a plethora of designs and makes for the Manza wheel. The 15 inch size and 108 PCD seem to present only a limited cho ise.

Now, the original wheel size for Manza is 15 inches. I prefer to have the same size wheel only. You can think of upsizing to 16 inches. Even though dealers may suggest that you will get butter mileage, please consider the following issues:

A) Upsizing will reduce the torque at the tyres and hence the ability to pull, especially on slopes. For the same quadrajet engine Dzire uses only a 14 in wheel. But Manza delivers more power due to the VGT and gearing, etc making the use of 15 in wheel possible. I believe further upsizing will lead to deterioration of performance.

B) Upsizing to 16 in will increase the running diameter of the wheel. For the same revolution of the wheel, the car would cover more distance than indicated on the odometer. Therefore, you will have to recalibrate the odometer and speedometer.

I found Apollo's MC20, 15 in wheel perfectly fine for me.

You may search for alloy wheels on the same site (carwale.com) under accessories section

The only advantages as I can perceive are

1. Improved mileage

2. Improved ground clearance

Disadvantages are many. The car manufacturer knows best the right size of the wheel. Any deviation is a precursor of the attendant perils.

I like this line. Very true.

Could you please elaborate how the above two are achieved?

1. Improved mileage because the wheel's perimeter (circumferance) increases with the increase in diameter - for the same revolution of the axle, the distance covered by the tyre, therefore, is more. The mileage is affected by other parameters as well.

2. When the wheel centre remains the same, increase in diameter by an inch shall increase the ground clearance (the difference between the lowest point of the car body and the ground) by 0.5 inch (tyre height is another factor).

Well thats what i suspected and hence asked!

On a upsize the whole idea is to keep the overall diameter of the tyre wheel combo the same as the stock overall diameters.

So there wont be any change in FE or GC in a properly done wheel/tyre upsizes.

This is the concept of 'Rolling Radius' and is paramount in good performance of the tyre/car.
