I had brought this topic up on our "1st National Meet", Maybe its just me, I find it too confusing if I wanted to post some query or even browse through. Some categories are practically dead without any new posts or updates inside it (This makes our forum look even more boring) and give wrong impression to new members that there are hardly any active members, which is wrong!

Why dont we (Members & Moderators) conduct an online chat conference and decide if this step has to be taken and even if so what new category or sub-categories needs to be created/deleted.

And also talking about chatting, would it be possible to have a 24hr chat room lounge? just like these people have "N-gage Arena Clubhouse"

Adam,

As we discussed in the national meet, I'm open to suggestions. I'm not sure if we all will be able to find time to come online together, however, we can always discuss it in the forum?

I remember you suggesting me that we should eliminate category "Articles" because it's ambiguous. I agree. What else do you think we need to re-configure or re-arrange?

Very true.  We need to shift many threads therefrom to other sections - Review etc.

Article section & the purpose for which it was started is good - but is not utilised appropriately.

Banwari, Why don't we do something - get the benchwarmer excellent CW writing staff write juicy articles out of the material from the threads present in the articles section, in cases it is relevant to do so? Then we drag and drop that forum in the recycle bin. Wotsay?

I support Adam's suggestion about a chat-room whole-heartedly. Off-line communication is ok, but if we want to add zing to the interaction, we can use a chat room too.

For Articles section i have some suggestions

* Only Moderators (or mods and Legends, such any criteria) can post NEW topics in the articles

*Others can post reply

* If other members want to write any articles, then it should be posted in any other forum, like general discussions, and the moderators can place it to the Article forum if elligible.

Both the above suggestions are good.  We can implement both.

Edit: Both... I mean by Krishna & Ikkru.
