Badri the config looks good to go.Finding a good installer and using good MDF's would be the next steps along with quality wiring(JBL/Tsunami are great).

As a later install, damping would bring a lot of definition to this system.

I have got these rates from a well known installer in chennai (PITZSHOP). Can you please explain what is MDF?

Wiring I will be using JBL kit.

I was initially for the below mentioned config.

HU: Pioneer 6050UB or any other Pio

Front: Polk or JBL Components

Rear: JBL rear ovals or Kickers (which is better?)
For rears, is it better to have the speakers on the doors or have as ovals or kickers? My car would mostly be occupied at rear seats as well.

Amps: JBL 4-ch Amp (if its advisable)

Sub - I dont prefer at this point of time (not for the boot space), but have heard and its kind of heahaching sound sometimes.. So as of now, Im not planning for sub, probably at later point of time, I can add on.

Wiring: JBL kit

Can you advice on the above plz?

MDF = Medium Density Fibre board. It is much better for building speaker cabinets as compared to plywood.

Hey Badri:

This is one of my frenz' audio setup which he did a couple of days back.
Thought this might be of some help as well. Spacing was an issue with 2Din Player, but it has to be done with patience to make it look perfect.

I bet 2 Din looks complete on the Dashboard of i10.

HU Pioneer 6050 UB - 10500
Front    JBL GT265C  - 5000
Rear     JBL S396    - 2900
MDF & spac  - 1250

All with B/W.

Cheers,
Sai

Polks on the rear doors if you are planning for a sub in the future.

Kickers on the rear parcel tray if you dont plan to go for subwoofer in the future.

Thanks Rohit.

Hey Sai.. Thanks for the config.. Looks good, but does this config not have an Amp?? I think i will settle with single Din. I will be going to PITZSHOP this saturday for seat cover and sun film. I would also take a demo of different ICE setups.

Thanks Binoy. So If im going for Polks on the rear door for now, should I go for 2 ch Amp or 4 ch, as I might go for Sub in the future. Also you had mentioned in my other thread that the speakers cost looks more, can you advice a good config with the prices.

Please let me know ASAP, as this Sat I will be going for demo and installing it.

Updated costs from the installer.

HU Pioneer 6050 UB - 9200 (no bill but 1 year warranty)

Rear     JBL S396    - 3500
wooden planck with spacer 650
4 channell jbl 644 amp - 7500
Wiring - 1000

Which HU is better?? 6050 UB or 4250 SD??
Also is Wooden Planck fine or should I ask for MDF... if so which one??

Hi Guys,

I bought a Hyundai i10 6 months back. When I bought the car, the dealer installed the Sony Speakers on all 4 doors. I dont know the model number of the Speakers. After couple of months, I bought the Polk Audio db691 Oval and installed it in the rear tray.

Now I'm planning to Upgrade the configuration with the following:

Front Component: Polk Audio db6501 (Cost: 125$)

Rear Door: Polk Audio db651 (Cost: 60$)

Subwoofer: Pioneer TS-SW2501S4 (Cost: 100$) or Polk Audio MM1040DVC (Cost: 110$)

Amplifier: Pioneer GM-6400F (140$) or Polk Audio PA500.4 (220$)

I need your help in suggesting me the below

1) which of the Subwoofer is the best from the above option? Is there is any other good one?

2. Which of the above Amplifier is better?

3) Do I need to put a rear door speaker? Is it really worth it? or Can I leave it with the existing Sony Speakers?

4) Is the cost is reasonable? or is it better if I buy it from India?

Please help me in deciding which one to buy.

Thanks,

Hussain
