is Fiat Uno is ok?

Hi, iam guru here. i was searching for questions on Fiat Uno,but did.t find one so iam putting the Q. I am planning to buy a 2nd hand car first time, my budget is very compressed its about one lakh. i wanted extra leg room compared to maruti 800,as iam 6 feet tall.i am taking car only for weekend use. i can go for santro but cost is not in my budget.is Fiat Uno Ok ,any technical problems? i heard that engine and gear box is of toyato and it can go up to 2lakh k/m, is it right? pl guide me than you

Dear Guru, There is no problem with Uno as such. Car is good but spares may create problems at times. You can consider buying it if you can find a good less-used car. We are suggesting you less-used because it will not bother you much with maintenance etc. There are no such issues with Uno engine and its engine is of Fiat only. It has no problems going beyond 2 lakhs kilometers. However its true that very used car is not good at maintenance, doesn't matter what make or model the car is. An alternative to Uno can be Fiat Palio 1.2, if you can stretch your budget to 1.3-1.4 lakhs.
