Henry, please give an independent reference about iridium spark plugs being useful and having a 'faster spark'. To me, it appears snake oil, and useful only to spend money on stuff where regular cheap plugs would work equally well. Not VFM.

@Krishna,

Talking of spark plugs, I did read that the orientation of the spark gap w.r.t. the injector has some effect on the burn characteristics or the flame front - not necessarily in terms of improving the acceleration or speed - just the quality of the burn (unifrom v/s not so uniform). A uniform burn will mean that the cylinder has less temp. differential from side-to-side and maybe this causes uniform heat-related expansion of the cylinder/piston thereby maintaining the shape of both, which in turn means that the symmetry of both doesn't change resulting in less wear and tear.

I think an upgrade to the 1.0 litre WagonR engine is possible as the alto was having this version.

I think changing the brake components is better than changing the whole structure as it is more complicated.

Please do not try to mark your engine capablities by the max speed. This will hurt your engine a lot and will do more bad than good. However if you have a tacho, ensure that the engine does not cross the redline frequently. Just my two cents regarding this.

A better option is to replace the existing engine parts with better branded ones as this is an easier job. I you are keen on your mods, get it done by a good tuner.

BTW how about a turbo? may sound stupid for some!!!!
