Hey Sri,below find the link of their Website.i find it pretty good.

http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/bfgapp/index.jsp

I have selected "g force-sports" model of the tyre.

@ Aravind

Michelin XM1 should cost you anything in between 3500-3700 per tyre(thats the cost hear,i went to few dealers for finalsing for my car yesterday).

Yes you have to do both wheel alignment and balancing.

Regards

Ranjeet

thats a good choice now , michilin tyres shud cost youa round 3400 rs from the authorised michilin dealer , and alloys wud depend on your selection ranging from 2k - 5 k rs per alloy

Your tyre wud go for 1100 rs per tyre

that means 3400 - 1100 = 2300 rs per tyre after exchange!
2300 X 5 11500 + cost of alloys! lets keep tht u sselct alloy of rs 3k rs so 3X 4 = 12k rs

Wheel balancing and alignment is really necesary once you fit new rims and tyres! i think this migh be done free of cost as you are ppurchasing new tyres!

Alotgether around 23 - 24k rs!

Cheers,
Sri

The plati alloys and HR and better when compared with others , the Aura too is good but there are no much choices therre , i prefer the Plati allys , go for 13" alloys if you dont change the tyres! Plati alloys would cost you around 2 - 3 k rs per alloys wheel depending on your selection , i feel 4 alloy wheels are enough! dont buy 5!

Cheers,
Sri

hi there again , firstly i would like to say the value of your tyre of Swift Vdi will be got only if u sell it soon after you get it delvred or before the delivery of the car , you would get max upto rs 1200 per tyre (( 165/ 80  14 ) and if u delay for one month then the value of your tyre would go down drastically and wud make it tough to sell! so better sell it soon i say within the day of delivery of b4 the delivery itselft

Exhchange the tyre to 185/70 R 14 tyres or 195/ 70 R 15 ( as you are fitting alloys , 15" tyres cud also do) make usre you buy 14 " 5.5 rim size alloy or else 15" alloy!

Bridgestone , yokohoma, Michilin and good yr are the tyres you could go for!

Cheers,
Sri

Hi Sri,

For 185/70 R 14 tyres which rim size will do 14" or 14" 5.5 size?....and one more thing .....i heard that if i upsize my tyres there is a chance that the maruti warranty becomes void?....is it true....plzz help asap as i am getting my car delivered today......

Thanks for your help

@ Arvind ,

the waranty wont be Void at all , in here many people ( swift customers ) around 80% have upgarded thier tyres , so no harm in it at all! if you want to make things clear why dont you just ask your maruti dealer itself!

5.5 is the dia of The rim , usualy it comes in 2 sizes the 14 " 5.0 and 14" 5.5 , in 5.5 size rim , you cud upgrade even to 195 " size whenever your next tyre change due comes! anyways your are buying alloys so most preferably go for 14 "  5.5 size!

Cheers,
Sri

Hi Sri,

How much is a good price for wheelcovers? I Have a chevy Spark and the Frontline dealer was quoting 5k for set of 4, which does look tad too much. I don't have alloy wheels, just the standard ones that came with the car. If you can give me few pointers to where I can find better deals, do let me know. I am located in Mangalore as well. And ,sorry for hijacking the thread.

Thanks

Hi Sri,

Thank you very much for clearing all my queries. Well i finally got delivery of my car last friday and i have upgraded my tyres on that very day. Went for Michelin energy XM1plus 185/70 R 14 and neo alloys of 14" 5.5.

I can feel better handling though hardly drove with standard tyres so can't compare.

And i filled nitrogen in my tubeless tyres as recommended by that tyre and alloy dealer.

Thanks for everyone who gave their valuable inputs to help me decide.

Will come up with my experience once i complete some 300 kms.

@ Sri

I got wheel balancing done free of cost but the tyre and alloy dealer did't do wheel alignment, he said it is not necessary as it is a brand new car. Any comments on this?

As of now just completed 150 km and i guess the mileage is coming around 12 km/l. is it good considering first service is due at 1000km.

Also would like to know if there is any run in period for this car? coz dealer did't tell me nething about what speed to maintain uptill how many kms.

Your viewpoint on this, please.
