I have been browsing several threads however finding it difficult to comprehend all the information available and hence thought of starting a thread for my requirements and suggestions are welcome....

I recently bought a punto and have been driving it for around a month now. As my usage was going to be high, I decided for a diesel version - 1.3L MJD - Hip Hop Black and I will never regret my decision. It is giving me close to 14 kmpl and driving experience is great ...

Right out of the showroom I upgraded my tyres to 205/45/R16 and set of black mag wheels with red lip.....Believe me these looks fantastic... It costed me around 45K for this upgrade and it was a little heavy on my pocket immediately after buying a punto!!!Wink but then I did the upgrade anyways ..

Also had the sunfilms done from 3M for front, sides and rear windows .. costed my only approx. 4K as against approx. 10K mentioned in some of the blogs .. Can someone pls. confirm the prices?

Now I am looking for --

1. Seat Covers - Pls. suggest different types i.e. art leather, pure leather etc.. with associated prices

2. Spoiler - I would love to have a Punto Abarth spoiler .. any idea if I could get it somewhere in Bangalore?

3. Under body neons - Pls. suggest if this advisable as the car accessories vendor said you have a danger of breaking the neons on a high bumps etc ...

4. Some good vinyls options

5. Parking sensor - Suggest me the best type and associated cost.

6. Car Body Cover? - pls. suggest types and associated cost ..

7. Car muffler - Pls. advise if this is suggested for Punto .. and will it look good?

I will have another thread asking details for performance upgrade parts Cool

HAPPY DRIVING !!!!

I think you are talking about Pitch Circle Diameter... Well I am not exactly aware of the PCD on my wheels but then these are R16s ... 4 bolts ... I am not really sure on the distance between the bolts though .. I shall find out and post a reply soon ..

I am sure you get these in Mumbai as there are plenty of these available in Bangalore ..

Other Bangaloreans ... Pls. advise?????

Congrats on your car ! Which variant of the Punto did you buy ?

205/45/R16 ? How's the ride quality with these tyres - they are really low profile.

Art leather will cost you 4-5 K on JC Road.

Pure leather - 20-30 K , depending on brand.

Parking sensors - Xenos. Approx 4 K depending on the number of sensors. Even I wanted to get sensors fitted. The problem is that the Punto wiring is complex. Heard that someone tried to fit sensors on his linea and then the workshop got his B&M wires cut ! So you need good workmanship. Another thing is that they will drill holes into your bumper and they may not look good.

Hey Vasav, do not panic. I just want you to be aware of what you have purchased for ur new car. These seller's usually do not bother to tell customer how much PCD makes a difference, I myself wanted to have new set of Alloy wheels but the design I was looking for is not available in market with 98 PCD.

Looking fwd to hear back from you.

Hi Shankar .. Mines an Emotion ...

Thanks for the information .. after reading your comment I am deciding against parking sensors .. I ,under no conditions, would want a hole on my punto ... Smile

As soon I had the mag wheels on .. the steering was much lighter as compared to the drum wheels. At first, the ride felt a little bumpy on the roads but then I found out that I was running to 50PSI .. lolz .. Got it down to 35PSI and the ride feels normal ..no issues with ground clearance as it is working out really good for me even on high bumps that we often encounter in bangalore ...!!!! so preformance pretty good ..

I was warned that it will affect the mileage but then I never got a chance to compare as I had the new tyres ON the first day. selected Yokohoma set and the tyres are wonderful ...

I want to go for Pure leather .. can you suggest some good shops for that in bangalore?

Vasav, congratulations first.

I am from Bangalore and have Emotion MJD.

If you are planning for Pure leather, nothing is better than Stanley Leather. The shop is on 100 feet road, indiranagar.
