Since you have decided to go for Spark then get the top most variant.  Avoid LPG for your 1K Km/month ride.

Never mind what others say, do whats right for that moment!

Spark's high speed performance is too good. You can check it. I checked it upto 140kmph and I was confident while driving at that speed. Car was stable. One of my friend tested it upto 156kmph.

Yes that must be true....chevy is always a stunning performer and stability of american/european cars are better than jap/korean cars...but on the other hand maintenance cost and availability of parts/resale values are always cons for chevy....

I have driven new estillo to 140+ kmph and thats also pretty good in high speed...and there is no question on swift...that is damn good in much higher speed...so if someone looks for low maintenance cost and good resale value...should go for maruti suzuki atleast in india....

I have a ford ikon in india and had a Corrola while was in US and a Nissan Almera while was in UK....but I do preffer Ford personally....but maintenance is atleast 3 times than Maruti..

LT is 20 K higher than LS

i guess i am quite apprehensive about LT as its price will be around 3.74 in kol

then again i am confused between VISTA  TERRA TDI which the dealer has proposed me to give

at 4 K after giving discount with road tax and insurance

so difference btween LT and vista TDI is around 36 K

difference between terra TDI and LS is 50 K

Firstoff, Terra TDI is DIESEL. You don't need Diesel.

Secondly it is TDI -  it is not the 'right' type of engine, unless you have no other choice. Quadrajet is what is hot. And pricey, and of course, Diesel.

Thirdly, it is a TATA INDICA Vista. How much ever I like Vista, GM score over Tata in terms of fit / finish and refinement.

Given your requirements, Vista TDI looks an absurd option. Wotsay?

There are high chances that gradually the difference between petrol and diesel price will reduce. As the petrol prices increases so is diesel.

Now to choose between SPARK and TDI Vista you have think deep and make a decision. Also take the feedback from your friends on performance of TDI.

Mileage is good of TDI, but performance satisfaction is not there and maintenance may be very high after 40,000 km.

This is true if you are selling your car within 3 years. Infact, there is not much difference in resale value of Spark & other maruti suzuki cars. You can check the resale value of 2 years old cars by using carwale used car valuation tool.

See Arghaya, its all about personal satisfaction and mind set. 20-25k more resale value or Driving pleasure & comfort? Infact, if you are checking resale value then do calculate on road price of cars in consideration. If you are saving 25k presently and getting even 50k less after 5 years (Be sure different will be not that much) then there is no harm in saving 25k today.

People dont change when you tell them that there is a Better option... They change when they realise that there is No Other Option..
