Hello friends,

I was looking for new car but I got a very good deals of Punto 1.4 Emotion pack. But I am confused going for 2nd hand car. The car is 1 month old, total running is 1600 km, the owner is quoting 4.75 as final price (new car price 6.4 lakh)

Please suggest me the things which I should verify before finalizing the deal.

Right now I am in San Francisco and will be coming to India on next saturday, I have asked him to hold the car. One of my friend got to know about the car from Tata Dealer only.

Please advice. Pros/Cons/Risk

Hi Vaibhav...

May be Its a Accident Vehicle ... or May be there is a argency of money.

You Just compare that vehicle with Brand new one.. Other wise you take a good machanic with you and show it to him he will find out if it is Accident vehicle or Not....

If a vehicle had an accident , then its possible to rebuilt the body as previous.. But If you observe very carefully you will come to know its a accident vehicle....

Usually Every body Selling the brand new one for low price only for 2 things... One it had an accident or he needs money very urgently....

Please My forum friend Check entire vehicle clearly before buying it....

yeah I will take car to some good Mechanic.  Tata dealer has provided information about this deal so I feel there is very little chance of accident else he would have told about the same.

may be I will take car to another Tata dealer.

If he has won some case and is getting 1 crore then he can keep the Punto and still buy a luxury premium car that he is talking about. I don't see why he should sell off the Punto unless he has suddenly outgrown 'cheap' cars and now only prefers the expensive premium sedans. I would tread with caution on buying a 1 month old 1600kms done car. Maybe it's a defective piece?

If you are buying through Tata dealer ,may they will not tell you the perfect reason because they will get commision...

Better you check it with a good machanic who is closer to you...

Remember Something in todays world no one throws money away. It has to either be an accidental case of a defective car...so please careful.
