There are several sub brands to both tyre makers.

Which specific tyre from each brand are you considering?

Hello Henry,

For performace both tyres are good but both are slightly noisy.Butttt both offer excellent grip, cornering and wet/dry braking. My personal choice is Bridgestone Potenza G3.BTW both tyres have very sporty threads.

What profile are you considering ? Are they available in both G3/Yoko-S ? Both these tyres are performnace oriented so don't expect as much comfort from them as you would expect from the Michelins. Michelins have less noise as well, but are expensive.

Can try new launched tyre by Bridgestone Adrinalin RE01 . Combination of sport & Comfort.

I am not sure whether they have launch these 2 sizes or not you can check with bridgestone dealer.

As the consideration is for performance rather than longevity and thread life the S drive will always score over the G3.

Also thread life(low) is notorious with the G3.

Coming to the upgrade:

55 or 50 profile tyres are an absolute no for our Indian conditions. Those profiles are an open invitation for a jarring ride and bend rims!

Also the verna has a 170/70/14 stock size and the 205 section would be pushing the limits, cant we stay at 195?

Avoid the 205/50/15 by all means.
