Urgent help needed, Buying Safari

Hey Steeroid. Thanks a load for the info. That clears a lot. Actually I spent amlost 6 months on the lookout for a safari myself.

My opinion was served to me by the Tata dealer here in Nasik. Pragati Motors.

I had got hold of a 2006 Tata Safari VX myself at 5.5L. The service station served me this report saying that the engine was not consisent and had come to the service station many times in the past. 

Hence I developed this perception. Anyways its isnt me who wants the vehicle this time. Its Ganesh. Thanks again.

Steeroid,Vinay thanks for a load of information, now that you enlightened me i do prefer off roading capabilities in safari, but mostly thru beach sands and muddy roads, not off road climbing because the place i live doesnt have mountains. since my driving habits are 30% off roading and 80% highway do you think 2.2 vtt engine should be a good fit for me?

BTW i live in hyderabad and the vehicle for sale is in hyderabad, Its dark blue color and the dealer is quoting 5.5 lks, i think it can be negiotiable to 5 lks if interested, thanks Ganesh

Also question on warranty? The guy selling is the second owner so if i buy i will be third owner is the warranty still covered? Will i be able to get a extended warranty on this vehicle if interested, let me know thanks
