Personally have never felt any vibration, even at speeds above 130kmph. The Ikon is shorter than the dzire but with a longer wheelbase.

The dictum that longer wheelbase is the best scenario is also not fully correct. Longer wheel base is associated with pitching.

cigarette lighter is avoided probably because of cost.

Tata also do not provide ciag. lighter.  I had enquired about it, as, being a smoker then, I missed it in my car. I was told - by others also - that it's so because it isn't permitted. Anyway!

Yes, Ikon is shorter than Dzire - by 15 mm (just checked).  I think no other sedan other than CS (3988 mm) & Ikon (4145 mm) is shorter than Dzire (4160 mm).

@ Talwar, you may have felt the vibration due to some other reason. Binoy too hasn't experienced so.  He actually owns/uses Dzire.

Diesel Dzire seems more vibrating than the other petrol cars. I had Opel corsa and now having Dzire vdi .

But it is good to drive any of the car with windows up while driving at 120km speed.

Are u sure that there is a buzzer with central locking? Or just the indicators blink on locking/unlocking?

Am sure.

Regarding vibration : till now, my maximum speed on my dzire is 90KMPH Wink

This is true of any diesel -petrol car comparisons. The diesel engines have poor NVH.

Deviating from the topic a bit guys...

Was on my way to Pune in my friends Xylo recently when midway a Polo ( soon to be launched) passed us..rather overtook us.....

It just zip zapped zoomed past all the other cars present at that time ..the swift, Honda City and our xylo(whihc was gng at a modest 120Km/hr ;-))

I just cant wait to get my hands on Polo for a TD once it is launched.

By the way ..on return saw a few of them parked near a Gas station ...some silver grey and some white..While the white looks good on Polo Silver is strictly no no ( thanks to the slightly dated look). However i liked the low slung look of the car than all the todays so called tall boys ..of course thats personal.
