Hi Predator,

There is no in built navigation support in 4150 and I guess you cannot add a navigation adaptor like how you could add a bluetooth adaptor. If you are specifically looking for Navigation HU with touch screen and DVD/Bluetooth and all - you might want to look at models like AVIC-Z110BT (fully loaded with DVD etc), AVIC-X910BT, AVIC-X710BT, AVIC-U31BT (all these are Pioneer USA models, you will find the same indian series, with a slight change in the model number). The diff between US and indian models would be like - US model play only Region 1 DVDs and Indian models play - Region 3 & 4 (I am not sure, it mght be 4 & 5). Another diff would be a slight diff in the FM freq range.

Pioneer AVH-P4150DVD is a good model. If you already have them - i have a few questions which i'd appreciate if you could help me answer

1. What is the price in India for 4150?

2. Does the angle at which it fits in the dash give a good viewing angle. I guess most of the dashboards have a slight tilt back wards and hence am sligthly sceptical about whether the people sitting in the rear will have a good viewing angle. I guess there are about 5 viewing angles, but all are upwards.

3. There is a corresponding model in the US - its called the AVH-P4100DVD. (the diff as I told earlier is the diff DVD regions). There is a limitation in this player (4100) that you need to have your parking brake engaged to view the DVD, else you will see a blue screen. There is however a way to by-pass this by installing a relay which will enable DVD viewing even while your car is moving. - does 4150 have the similar limitations and if they do, are they fixable by the technicians in India - have you got it fixed?

4. Overall - if you have been using this HU - whats your feedback?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Hi Predator,

I am wrong - pioneer AVH-p4100 can work as a Navigation unit. In fact you could do much more than that. have a look at the following youtube link. Hope this help and waiting for your reply..

1. I am from ISRAEL and not india.

2. This device has Navigation for sure it is even mentioned in the documentation. Pioneer doesn't make it in this models AVH because it's software doesn't support outside of the USA.

3. Here in Israel the importater has an adapter that fit's IGO8.

4. I didn't install the unit yet, i will let you know when i do.

BTW from pictures i sow of the 4100 it doesn't seem to have a yellow IP socket on the back (the 4150 has such a socket and it's intended for Navigation) can you confirm ?

anyway, can you give me more information regarding that russian adapter for nav?
