Alto XCITE

I was initially planning for Alto LXi and now zeroed down on alto XCITE. Please let me know is this a good decision to buy a limited edition vehicle.

Regarding offers and discount on the vehicle I need advice from Pune users. I have talked to various dealers and was able to get following deal:

EX  SHOWROOM  PRICE 292226 
INSURANCE  9769

EX WARRANTY  1790 
ON ROAD COST  328241 
CONSUMER OFFER  14000 
CORPORATE DISCOUNT 2500

Nobody is offering me any free accessories. Do I need to negotiate more or in case Alto its diff to get Accessories free.

Please let me know about two points and let me know your experiences regarding offers and discounts available on Alto XCITE in Pune.

You may not get much discount apart from this... It is a good deal!!
Probably the best would be 3.10 on road. You may get that since this is Nov & Dec...

Apart from that can you throw more light on freebies the dealer has promised to offer?

Can any one let me know how much time it takes to get Alto XCite delivered.

I think it takes a max of one week... Not more than that... I'm speaking about Chennai!

Thanks for quick reply. They have not promised me any freebies and I have never bought any car so I am not sure whether I can get any freebies with Alto or not. Please guide me that what freebies should I ask from dealer.

amit: u might want to wait til jan next year, mainly for two reasons:

1. Maruti is planning to get the LPG version and might upgrade the engine too suit BS IV

2. You will get 2010 registration and will be helpful while resale after 3-4 years.

Amit:

Ask for 3M Sunfilm, Remote Keyless entry [this one is costly thou], Mats & Mud flap [Mostly any dealer wud give this], Any MP3 Player, Car Cover [Definite], Seat Cover [Very tough] & Steering Cover [Sure shot]...

Sai, thanks for your help. I discussed with two dealers over phone over free accessories and their response was:

1. 3M Sunflim, Keyless entry, MP3 Player and Seat Cover: Its impossible to get these accessories with a basic car like Alto and they are claiming that nobody in India will give me these things.

2. Mats and Mud Flap, Car Cover, Steering Cover: For these accessories they are ready to provide.

Please dont mid regarding my silly questions. I want to know whether its possible to get these accessories or its very tough to get these accessories for a basic car like ALTO. I dont have any clue. Can anybody tell me whats the cost of accessories listed in point 1.

Regarding 2010 car, I am not sure when BS 1V compiant engine will be introduced by Maruti in Alto. As far as I know deadline is Apr 2010 and companies can go till atleast March to clear their inventory for this fiscal year. This is just a thought as I dont have much idea about auto market.

Yes, it is very difficult to get Keyless entry, MP3, and seat cover with an Alto.  But you can try for sunfilm, even chances are low.
