i mean, is the user name selection on first come first serve basis ? If yes, do let me knw the time when the link is posted to keep my existing name permanently !!

A very good step this. I am totally in favor of this step as I too would like to address people by their names ratehr than other titles they chose. One suggestion from my side would be (tough too late I beleive) is to have the name of the person followed by quotes "", and within the quotes we can put the other titles like vaanpujari or Steeroid etc.

None the less through this reply I am more interested to know if my name has changed or not. If it has then to what?

I have updated the user names of those with 400 or more posts. I'm sorry I had thought of doing it for all those with 250+ posts but had very little time in hand.

I think it will be more of a problem for few common names like Satish,Rajesh,Amit.Etc. But its better done now then later as certainly its rather secure your name earlier.

It will always be confusiong if the community grows furthur & then to maintain individuals identity.

I think I am Still Satish MasterInnocent.. or will hv to struggule to find my place. I hope not as I think i am one of the dew MASTERS here LOL...

I think most of us will get desired names except for very few members who have very generic name, as mentioned by Satish. Moreover when it comes to fixed usernames/handles, people normally tend to choose names that don't reveal their identity or some name they feel very good about.

If you are too worried, just subscribe this thread. I will announce as soon as the feature is live and you can login quickly and fix your name! Smile

To my knowledge, there are Nanos available on depreciation as well (slightly used ~200-500 kms).
