Hi Every1,

Iam looking to upgrade the speakers in Dzire. I would like to go for components in the front and move the stock front speakers to the rear door. But there is no speaker provision in the rear door of Dzire unlike Swift hatchback. Now I am confused as to what to do with the stock front speakers if I install components over there ?

Please advise. Also, I hope the components would be effective w/o an AMP as I do not have the budget for that right now.

Hi,

No replies as yet but nevertheless I have few more queries

I am thinking of a budget of 10-12 K to upgrade my audio system in swift dzire vxi model. I am retaining the stock HU.

Option 1

Polk components in front 7K  + Db690 for rear

Option 2

JBL 608C comps 4K + 2 ch amp 4K + JBL round S265 3K

Option 3

Polk components in front 7K  + 2 ch amp 4K. retain the stock rear speakers.

Which option is recommended. I am keen on Pok though it is a bit costly.

Also, what is the diff b/w 2 ch and 4 ch amps ? I am not a techie so not sure about their functionality. I listen to music at low to medium volume.

Thanks in advance this time.

Murli,

anytime option-3. Am also fan of polk - wise choice.Wink

In brief, 2ch ampl power your 2 front / rear speakers or 1 subw in bridge mode. while 4 ch generally use to power front 2 speakers with 1 sub in bridge mode. Hope this clarify.

Thanks for your reply Djp. So you suggest I go for front polk components and retain the stock rear speakers in dzire.

Instead of going for new rear speakers, Use a 2 ch amp to power the front components and let the stock rear speakers be powered by HU itself. Is this what you are suggesting?
