I am willing to buy an utility vehicle for myself and my family. The vehicle i desire should be a powerful one in terms of the engine power and should take a huge amount of load and should also be good looking. After a through research i came up with a shortlist of cars and placed the three mentioned here on the top, and now i am confused between the two, as to which one will suit me and my family of 5.

If the vehicle is for private use, I think you should not consider Chevy Tavera - the vehicle has an image problem as a taxi, and you will be flagged for a per-seat passenger frequently. On the other hand, I hear that the FE by Tavera is the best among all the listed vehicles.

Innova will have the best in the class fit and finish, but it is costlier than the other alternatives for the same feature set. In other words, its fit and finish has a cost attached to it, and it could be ~50k-100k depending on what variant is chosen. If you have a tight budget, Innova can be dropped.

Mahindra Xylo, on the other hand will give you the most feature loaded vehicle for the same cost. The issue here is refinement, power and quality of interiors. There are people who are very happy with Xylo, and it serves well as a urban transport with power and space. If main intention behind the vehicle is to use if for urban transport, (city to city/town to town, with as little semi-pucca roads as possible), then Xylo triumphs.

You mentioned huge amount of load - do you mean baggages and suitcases - in addition to 5 people who will normally travel?

ALso inform whether you travel more within city or on highways?

Innova is the best.  As said earlier,  if budget is tight don't drop the Innova, buy the 2nd hand Innova.  Truly Value for money in 2nd hand.

some 40K driven 3 years old Innova is available in 6L only > top end model,

New model looks superb.

Tevera have bad image over web at India.  I saw few threads.

Recently Mahindra lunched some low cost truck >> looks same as Xylo.  watched the TV commercial.

so Innova is clear winner,  but consider double AC model.

best of luck.
