Superb review. Even I want to TD the Manza. (Even though Tata promised me a chauffeur driven Manza for a day, they never kept the word Tongue out, you know what i meant!!)

Hey Pankaj, is that you in the photo?

Yes, that's me in the photo.  Hope I don't look very bad - in case I do, I can conveniently blame the Mob. Camera Wink

Superb review.

The review by Steeroid's friend is really good.  I wanted to bring to the notice that tall people may not be very comfortable in the situations I have explained.

Pankaj, somebody on the forum had a TD and was not impressed by the shoddy gear throws - any comments about that?

No, it is not so in my opinion.  I found it quite smooth/easy & fun to shift.

That's quite strange. Did you check whether it was a height adjustable seat at a top position?

I test-drew Aura model that does not have height adjustable seat...

The only disappoint (for tall people) is the low front & rear ends of the ceiling, as explained before.  I’ve requested for another TD – highway - and for Aura ABS or + that have adjustable seat height.

By the way, have a look at Steeroid's observation on the same & his review.

I wonder how Tata could overlook this issue.

So its not exactly shorter people only need a height adjustable seat, even taller guys need it.

I didnt perceive a potential 'height' issue on the rear seat, though - only in front.  The rear is almost (old model) Camry-ish in comfort and space.

The issue is in front for really tall people and when you sit forward on the seat AND lean to the front - a very unnatural driving position if you ask me.  A tall person would normally push the seats back fully, at which point there is no possibility of this happening - and the rear passenger still has acres of room after the front seat is pushed back so there should normally be no cause for concern.

The seat was pulled back to accommodate my legs (long).  Besides, I always pull a little more (any car), as I want my knees totally free - I hate if those touch anything (just a matter of habit).  Despite this, the forehead touched - with just leaning a LITTLE forward - you can see the difference in the two photos

Suppose if I/tall driver sits erect, it's fine - but then while applying sharp/sudden brakes, you would obviously/automatically lean forward & hit the ceiling (6+ people).  In fact, this happened with me 2-3 times while I was testing the brakes sharply.

I think they should have extended the aerodynamic droop a little - at both ends.  It would help rear seat passenger (6+) in the situation/posture I have explained.  Nevertheless, the issue is not a matter of concern for majority - even tall people not exceeding 6 feet will not have any problem, I guess.  And the problem, as I see, is obviously restricted to Aura version only (no height adjustable seat).
