Hi All ,

Again I want to have suggession from you guys , I have Maruti Esteem March-2005.

2 month back , I found that my steering is moving one side even on plane road ,

so I had sent the car to mechanic ,

Mechanic told me & shown me that , Portion from which both front wheel has connecting to Body , ( Part of body also u can say ) has weakned due to rust.

So they do Welding , but after few week i face same problem , this time they did the same & told me that I wont face the same problem again

But after few week , I found tha little difference in Steering again (may be i m over concious)

Can you suggest me if I face the same problem again then what I need to do.

Amit,

Try checking whether you have any shake in any of your front wheels. Thenbalance and align all your wheels.

That already done by mechanic as intially my car's front new tyre 50% gone away due this inbalance.

This problem is not due to Tyres . main cause was for this problem is weak Portion (bottom) from which both front wheel has connecting to Body , ( Part of body also u can say ) has weakned due to rust.

Lift your car with a jacky. Try shaking the tyre with your hand. I mean one hand on one side ( outer side ) of the tyre and another in inner side. Try shaking the tyre. There should not be any shake. The balls inside the wheel would have been damaged. Ask abt this while you balance the wheels.

Amit, I believe your car having Alignment problem(Car pulling to one side) also Balancing problem(Vibration on steering). I suggest visit to a good computerized alignment centre to find out what is wrong. Basically there are 3 angle in alignment 1 Toe, 2 Camber & 3 Caster. Only toe can be adjusted. for adjusting Camber or Caster need repair or change of damge component. Only after alignment report we can understand which angle is out of  Specification. And I can advice you what to do further. Also confirm if their was a accident or tyre went into a pothole.

For Balancing problem. First do the normal balancing. If no improvement them do match mounting( Maching heavier part of tyre with lighter part of rim) good tyre mechanic with computerised Hunter Machine can do it. If still vibration there is problem either with tyre or rim or any suspection component.
