i have booked Dzire Vxi and expecting delivery within one-two months,

i have some doubts about accessories,

1. Reverse Sensors - Iam planning to go for reverse sensors(4 unit). i got a good idea about this from another thread.  Dealer quote me 5000 rupees for the work. is it possible to do the work outside(there it will cost around 3.5k only(  does it affect warranty?

2. Sun film - iam planning to go only for medium cost film only.  Since the colour of the car will be Greay or Blue, what is the optimum colour for sunfilm? and what will be the average cost?

3. Seat cover and Steering cover - I dont have any idea about this. I cant afford any costly items, could anyone help me in this?

4. Alloyes - Dealer quoting 16.5 K to 18K for this.  What is the average cost of a good looking decent alloy?

5. Spoilers - Is spoilers are expensive?

6. Anti rust coating - What is the average cost?

7. Some cosmetic works like lighting etc - could anyone have good idea and experience regarding this?

What are the other accessories that can be used with Dzire?

Looking for your help.

I'll tell you what I know about from my experience.

1. Reverse sensors normally cost around 4000-4200. I got it fitted in my punto with the rear view mirror and cost me the same. Try bargaining a little. Does effect the warrant but with MASS you shouldn't really be worried.

2. Go with Blue. Looks much better. Sunfilm 3M brand would suffice. Should cost around 2k.

3. Seat Cover depends what do you want. Leather or fabric. Decent quality seat cover should be in between 4.5 to 6.5k.

4. Apollo alloys are available at around 4k per rim. So shouldn't cost more than 14000Rs as you don't need tyre change. Avoid the company alloys, since it has no hassles of warranty plus you'll get much better and cheaper one's from outside.

5. Depends. How much are you willing to spend?

6. Anti Rust coating: I don't have much idea about it. Shouldn't be more than 3.5k with teflon.

Sun films-more than the color look for light transmittance index(legal is 50% for side and 70% for the front and back)-also look for the IR rejection index.

Llumar and 3M are mid level players. Garware Icecool is also good.

Seat covers-there is another option-art leather(other than fabric and leather)-the cost would be about 3.5K

Spoliers-not needed

Anit-rust-3K from 3M

Have a look around the sections there are many a thread on the swift/dzire regarding accessories.

Its not essential: But on our roads its a cheap way of giving some extra protection for the under body.

HI,

Is it possible to install the rear  Bumper Guard  for the DZIRE ,like the one used in INNOVA,

This will avoid two wheelers hitting the rear in bomber to bumper traffic

two more doubts, please help.

Is it advisable to buy 4 alloys? is it necesory to buy all the 5? any difficulties will face if we bought only four?

What will be the cost of front windsheild sun film? I am facing very difficulty to drive in nights.  is front sunfilm will help me regarding this?

And one more thing is that today my dealer told me about Garware Classic Sun Control Film for 1600/- (40% heat rejection, 99% uv rejectin and three years guaranty).  Is it a good option?

5 alloys-if your ask me:

-tyres can be easily rotated

-if one of the alloys are damaged(later in the life of the car) then scouting for a spare one would be hard as models keep changing.

Front film will cost 4K upwards(i guess the Garware ice cool shield is the cheapest). Have driven a new City with the front film, there was no significant reduction in visibility nor was there much reduction in glare!

1600/- for the classic is a bit on the higher side(around 1.4K would be great). Invest in a film with about 50% heat reduction.
