Hi guys,

I bought a zen mh410 two months before. I car had run 60000 kms at that time. I bought this car because the exterior and interiors were excellent(also new tyres and battery). And the engine was able to reach 120 without any noise or wobbling. Now my meter reads 66k ( went for a 300km highway drive). Now I feel a shake in my car's front right wheel. Also the engine gets off when run with a/c switched on for few kms. Also I saw few drops of water coming out of silencer. Whats ur advice for me( which is to be taken care first) . Also the cost of servicing all these in chennai?

Hello again Aravindh.

1.If you feel your wheel shakig it can due to few reasons. Check your nuts (wheels!!) incase they are lose. get balancing and alignment checked up. If this doesnt solve your problem, get it checked at MASS, it maybe due to some problem in axle.

Hi Anshum,

Any idea abt the a/c problem?. Its happening from today afternoon only. The engine gets off when I run with a/c for few kms. ( no wobbling or no air locking as the engine goes off without I could feel any diff while driving) suddenly all the ignition lights will blink. I will start the car and run it. It will get switched off agin. I drove for 50 ksm without switching on a/c . no problems at all. Any idea?

See regarding the electricals in a car, it can be anything from a small short circuit wiring or ECM going kaput.

I had a zen 2004 model. My ECM went off and the car stopped running just like that. I just felt a plug/wire has come off. Later I got a 18k dent on my back (read pocket).

Better get it checked at MASS since you are going in for service anyway tomorrow and let us know what they have to say. Without a proper check nothing can be said.

All the best

18k Dent? I was abt to get it today. A govt bus driver could have done it. But he thought that zen is not his range to hit so he gave me a stare and few words(thank God I didnt hear them)  for stopping him in traffic. Will keep you posted.

Oops!!! Now the tension builds on me. If there is any big or permanent problem , then my car wouldnt have started again. Mine is still running with a/c also. Only problem it will switch off after 15 mins. Again with a/c it will run for few kms like that. Did your car start after ECM failure? Any other sympotms?

My car didnt start. But it can vary from car to car and problem to problem. My ecm's fuel circuit was spoilt so the fuwl wasnt being pumped to the engine.

I hope its just a minor problem.

Dont worry

Anshum,

Just now did my research on ECM. I could find that there is no ECM for carb fitted engines ( not sure thoguh). I think yours is a mpfi zen...
