Hi All,

Thank you all for your answer to my queries. I got my brand new Maruti Ritz Lxi couple of days before. I loaded it will up with power windows, central locking, wider tyres and alloys.

Thankyou Benoy for your feedback. What you said is absolutely right. The ride comfort is MUCH BETTER, after I upsized by tyres. I replaced my 165,80 14 R JK Tyres with 185, 70 14 R Michelin XM+ tyres. I got an exchange rate of Rs 10.5 K for 4 tyres in a shop at Kochi. I guess not a bad deal compared to what Maruti was offering me.

Guys I am really happy with my car now. I should say RITZ is an awesome car to have. Great riding comfort, great space, great seating position and cool Looks.

Thankyou all so much.

Hey one think I wanted to ask you all is, after I changed my wheels to alloys I've noticed that the disk looks a little rusted( brown color closer to the centre). Is that OK of should I show it to the Maruti Dealer.

hey vishal

i'm not a 100% confident of your ritz OE rim holding the 185/70 r14 tubless tyre mate.your increasing 20mm width, pls try fitting it once and check for yourself, or i suggest ask some expert, because tubeless tyre's start giving air loss compliants if the tyre is not a perfect fit on the steel rim. let me know wat u do

Hi Avinash,

I didnt mention it clearly I guess. I have changed my rim to Plati alloys. Also Maruti itself had offered me to upsize the wheel size to 185/70, which comes with Ritz Zxi.

HI Manoj,

In Kerala I got the alloys for 14 K. That is 3.5 K per alloy. You can check out my album to see the picture.

I had upgraded my JK tyre 165/80 to Micheline 185/70 XM +. There is a considerable change in the riding comfort. I feel the control is more + less noise. Try it out,  you will notice the difference.

Vishal

I didn't exchange my rim. They offered me only Rs 300 for all 4.

I had exchanged my JK Tyre for Rs 1100 per tyre with the new Michelin Tyres

Hi guys,

I am getting a Maruti Ritz Lxi. I was thinking to replace the stock tyres with 185/70 R14 at the time of delivery and use it for time being. When I got enough cash for alloy wheels, I would like to fit these tyres with the new alloy wheels. So, I was just eager to know following queries.

1- Is it possible to do so? (I beg ur pardon for being so ignorant.)

2- Is it advisable to replace the tyres while getting the car delivery?

3- Bangalore guys, how much the showroom in Blore offer for the stock tyres? I was told by the salesperson that they do take the tyers but with very low price. Or is it better to get the replacement do outside with a dedicated tyres dealers?

4- Which is the best alloy wheels available in terms of economy and style?

3- Is there is any disadvantage of using white color alloy wheels? This is because I don't see anyone talking about white color alloy wheels.

4- What is the ideal dimension of alloy wheels for Ritz? I saw that someone mentioned about 14X5 and 14X6 wheels.

Please tyre Gurus, enlighten me!
