Hi all!

I am planning to buy a car within a week or two.

I am consfused between these two cars.

Fiat E+ attracts me due to amazing features and ride quality, but puts me off by thinking about ASS and resale.

Ritz Zxi has features to make normal driving just normal not exciting like the E+ but its got the backing of the Maruti Brand and MASS along with good resale down the years.

Im comparing petrol and diesel as my running is midway about 70km/day and Punto doesnt have good FE in petrol, so considered MJD. Whereas Ritz has good FE in petrol.

I hope i havnt been to haphazard and confusing in getting my point across!

Anshum, well, you have pointed out your requirements precisely.

From what I understand, if resale value is an issue, then both Ritz and Punto are in the unsure bracket as of now since they are new cars in the market. How long do you plan to keep the car for? If its more than 4-5 years, I suggest worrying about resale can be ignored a bit.

I would not be too bothered with the ASS of Punto with the extended warranty being offered free. However, I guess ASS of Ritz will comparitively be better than that of the Punto.

EDIT: My personal opinion: I did not find Ritz having a great presence on the road as well as its rear looks and that infact made me decide against it.

Cheers,
Naveen

if you are looking for space and comfort,go for punto.i have test driven both and felt punto is more comfy, but ritz ride was smoother than punto.plus i have heard from new ritz buyers about its good FE.But if i had to select between the two i would opt for punto because of the comfy feeling i got and the amazing features in it.

Anshum:

I go along with Abhishek... I feel Punto is better than Ritz.

Personaly I have not done TD, but one of my friends said it was really a gud one!!

He said he drove down to 25kms in 4th gear without any issue and the Engine is a class apart...

Cheers,
Sai

@ anshum,

as per ur usage goes a diesel car would be the best suitable for u.

go for punto, it is the best option available as u get all the features with best build & ride qualities & very good mileage too.

Thanx for all our replies.!

@Naveen - I would be keeping the car for at least 5 years, if it doesnt give me TATA Indigo kind of trouble in the long run. Have my fingers crossed! Do you have a Punto? Which variant and whats your experience with the car?

@Abhishek - The only pro I can find in Ritz is the Maruti Badging and MASS. The punto is actually "A Bold New Drive!". Im aaaalomst decided for it. Just looking for a few suggestions from owners of MJD E+ on the forum.

@Sai - I have the same views after TD of Punto. Its a nice car for city stop and go traffic

@Roadster - How do you calculate if one needs a Diesel or Petrol. It would be help me better deciding

The problem with Punto which I can foresee as a potential buyer is the much acclaimed (punn intended) ASS. Does anyone have some experience in Delhi/NCR?

@Anshum,

I WILL have the Punto in a weeks time. I have booked the Diesel Emotion variant. I have read here that folks who bought Palio have been more than happy for a long time. So I don't foresee Punto to give any problems.

Cheers,

Naveen
