Guys,

What should be the best settings of A/C to be set when you drive your car in Rain?
I find it really difficult when some kind of Fog forms outside of the windscreen every time the wiper swipes out the water. I am owning an Alto and it would be great if the settings are mentioned based on Alto so that i can easily relate it.

Thanks,.

Fog/mist always forms wherever there is heat for eg: if outside is hotter than your car cabin then fog will form from outside, and if your cabin is hotter than outside temp then it will be from inside. You need to adjust according to the situation ;)

Mainly the blower should be directed to blow air over the windshield (there is a setting for that), and blower mode should be fresh air, rather than recirculation.

In case mist still forms, a quick application of AC will blow it away. Back to non-AC blower.

As Adam says, you need to adjust to the situation, but the steps above are required.

Sure. Will try this out next time. In the night time it really becomes difficult due to fog outside & opposite direction vehicles head lights...

Will try this out next time.

When Fogging appears OUTSIDE windshield (temp outside is high relative to that of Cabin) - Switch Off AC. Set Air Blower to MAX and RECIRCULATION mode. Slide/move Temp setting to HOT. Deflect air flow towards windshield. Within a sec or two the windshield will be crystal clear.  Then, move/slide Temp setting to "Moderate Cool", Deflect Air to Driver's Body and Feet. Switch On AC. Reset to "Fresh Air" mode.

During Rainy-Night driving - Ask your passenger sitting next to you (if one is there!) to do the above, so that you will not get distracted.   If you are alone -  move to slower lane and do as above.

 Drive safe.
