Jas,

If you want a car which is all-rounder in handling, engine, spcae and interiors but might face small problems in service and part you go with Punto

If you want a car that might have a little rattles but which is service hassle free and has good pickup and driving but cramped space you go with Maruti Swift

If you want all the space in the car and boot you go with Indigo CS

And If you want a car with Space, Resonably good interiors, engine, but a slightly hard steering  you can try the indica Vista

Im sure if you TD all these cars you will definitely go in for the Swift. because of its performance...

Hey thanks you all for such valuable replies.

@Madhur

Your point seems valid enough. As Punto must have designed best suitable gear box for its engine. Dont know is there can be any prob with swift gear box in long term.

@Mawil

I have already ruled out Indica coz of brand 'Indica' ...(inspite of all benefits)

Among rest of options:

Swift: 4-5 months waiting and not sure if the delivery i'll get will have same fiat multijet engine or some new engine (as maruti-fiat contract is finished). I dont think its worth waiting for so long.

Indigo CS TDI

Pros: Seperate boot, spacious, price(4.6Lakh), offers(free insurance+8000 corporate discount+ accessory worth 3000+ roadside assistanc worth 3000)

Cons: Engine noise and pickup in 1st and 2nd gear (before turbo starts), engine as compared to quadrajet

Fiat Punto Diesel 1.3 Active

pros: quadrajet engine, big boot and spacious sitting, offers(similar to indigo)

cons: Recently launched so practically not tested by users so much as compared to indigo, price(4.9lakh)

Majority people are in favor of punto but its strange to see that onroad presence of puto is still very less.

I am planning to go tomorrow and take test drive of both the cars.

Is there any scope i can try negotiating for more discount apart from existing company offers?

ok what do you guys think about style/looks of Indigo CS

It has seperate boot so it comes in sedan segment but is it really considered as sedan .... i mean from status symbol pt of view

If you see indigo individually as well as when comparing to Punto and Swift
