Performance Mods for Santro Xing

Hi Members,

Hope you would help me in the below:

1) Headlight upgrade - I have read a lot in the forums about this. But it has added a lot only  to my indecision. Hope lighting gurus be bit patient and help me choose the better headlamps.

    Requirment: Bright Intensity Light both in normal & rain.     - Priority1

                      Headlamps which emit White Light(no for HID) - Priority2

                      Life of headlamps                                         - Priority3

    Whether the combo can be acheved. If so advise the brand and model

    PS: I have Roots relay fitted in my car

2) Horn - I have Roots Vibrasonic installed. But I hate it's sound as it is used by almost all

              cabs. I like to have good sound (top priority) if possible with a bit of uniqueness.

3) Seat Covers withing 5K - should go for fabric or art leather. Which is good.

4) Ride Quality: Is there any way to improve the ride quality of Santro. Even going upon a small pothole, the impact  filters into the cabin almost completely. Very bad rear seat ride. I feel even my 2 wheeler suspension is better than Santro's.

Anything can be done to improve the ride quality. If so how & where.

I have a few more queries. Hope you will clarify.

1) Lights -  I believe you have recommended Osram NB because of my combo reqirement right (good intensity + white light). Since Osram NB comes only in 60/55W, I like to know whether its intensity will be comparable to Rallye 100/90W (since they claim 90% more light).Please let me know the price too.

2) Horns - Can you please specify any specific good models in them and prices.

3) Ride - I have stock tyres now. I don't know much about tyre basics. Can you please eloborate more on the softer profile tyres and again any spcific brand/model/size.

4) Air pressure - I maintain 30 psi as per manual. Please specify how much can I reduce the rear air-pressure levels without compromising too much on Fuel efficiency.

1. the 100/90 watt bulbs will be naturally more brighter.Two concerns-they are illegal and they can damage the lens and reflector of the headlamp over time.

2.Bosch FC4 or the Stebel Magnum/Nautilis series. Hella red grills are also renowned for their output.(not aware of current prices-beware of duplicates!)

3.bridestones which are stock i guess on your car are pretty soft.

4. 28PSI would be safe. 

If headlights are of plastic type then over a period of time 100/90w they will make a hole in the headlight glass also if the battery is bit old it wont be able to take the load & will drain faster

Dude i am using 100/90 for almost 1.5 years.IMO they cannot make a hole in headlight(mine too is plastic).With proper relay they will not cause any harm.I also have ceramic holders to take the extra heat.
