Dear Frenz:

Gud day!!
Let us all make this thread interesting and help many of our fellow car lovers to come to a decision & share their valuable suggestions / experience!

I have been doing loads of research before finalizing on these two models which I like for numerous reasons.

The reason I'm here is, Neither I can buy both of them nor forget one of em... lolz!
They are Maruti's All New Zen Estilo VXI  & Hyudai i10 1.2L Magna.

I wud like to compare these two cars on the following grounds only.

[ M ] Mileage [City / Highway]
[ C ] Comfort [Includes Drivers Comfort / Driving comfort, Front and rear seat leg room, boot space, Smoothness in handling Gear & so on]
[ U ] Upkeep costs [Comparitive analysis on cost of parts in case of any damage]

We can have a rating say for example:

Zen Estilo
M - 8/10
C - 7/1
U - 7/10

i10 1.2
M - 7/10
C - 9/10
U - 6/10

Strictly I do not have any other car in my mind right now. Pls restrain from adding or giving suggestion on any other hatchback. Your co-operation will be highly appreciated.

Cheers,
Sai Narayan

Sai,

Advantages in i10 kappa1.2:

Very smooth and refined engine.

Very good pick up.

Best in class gear shift.

Effective powers steering and AC.

Impressive biege interiors, gives a quality feeling of fit and finish.

Best ride and Handling.Very good front space and rear space.

Average FE of 12 to 14kms in city and 16 to 18 Kms on highway.Cost bit higher the estilo

NEW ZEN ESTILO

Very good front Looks.

Frugal and refined KB10 series engine.

Best FE 14 to 16 in City ,18 to 20 KMs on highway

VXI model has airbags,ABS,Defogger and rear wiper.

Ride and handling not up to mark, little bit of body rolling.

Average space and interiors.

For me  the winner is i10.

Car V/s Car: Hyundai i10 is clear winner. No match!

Even a Chevrolet Spark LT (3.6 lacs on-road)* is a better deal as compare to Estilo LXi (3.75 lacs on-road)*.

*On-road price Lucknow after all the discounts.

I am not suggesting you Sai. I just expressed what I feel.

i10 is definitely far better than the Estilo.

@ Always learning: Congratulations for booking an i10.

Sai, advantage of i10 1.2 kappa is highway performance. In city, I accept there is not much difference in busy city traffic but performance on highway is definitely better. You will feel the power difference.

Leave a side maintenance cost. Not much difference these days and if there is any difference its negligible. If you've checked my post you can see the prices of Chevy Spark's parts. Do u think its costly as compare to Maruti Suzuki? I dont think so! Same with Hyundai and other car makers.

Rajiv:

Yes!! Thx a Ton for ur interest & time to explain. I appreciate that...
I do accept that there won't be much difference with respect to maintenance cost.

What really bothers me is the mileage of these two cars... 2-3 kms may not look much on paper! But it does as years pass on!! So am just thinking over...

Hi Sai,

Even i was very much confused on which one to choose. I was exactly like you doin several researches for selecting a car. Finally im planning to go for i10 kappa(Magna or sportz). I have got very good feedback and infact i have travelled on the car during my trip to tirupati from chennai and it was awesome. I was also impressed on several cars like swift, indica vista,i20..but finally decided to go with i10.

Im 6"1 tall but still its very comfortable for me. Dats one of the reason why i selected this car.

Dsc motors and hyundai motor plaza are now offering great discounts along with free accessories. Hyundai is more or less the same when it comes to maintanence. Im not an expert on the technical part but after doin several research i have got to know several things. So we can go for it....

Im plannin to buy this month end or early december, If you wanna join me you can, so that we can get more discounts

Cheers!

Balaji.
