My car badly needs a round of waxing. Its frustating that I'm not able to spare time dues to commitments since last several Sundays Yell

Today while coming back from office, I hit a big pothole on W.E. highway at high speed. There was a buig thud & my heart sank. However, nothing seems to have damaged/ happened.

Still not able to spare time for CSC change. May be I'll do it after 1-1.5 month at the time of 1.5 month service.

Day after, am off to Surat for 3-4 days.

Ranjan

I might leave Mumbai on 25th morning & shall pass thro' Navsari/ Valsad on highway. See if we can meet briefly to put a face to user handles Smile. Pls let me know

Why not get teflon coating done? The coating is done after a period of 6 months, no waxing would be required to maintain the paint finish.

There is extensive material which I read on the net that teflon coating is not advisable.

I've planned to get 3M Paint Protection Treatment OR WAXOYL treatment done when car complates 1 year. This takes care of small scratchs/ swirl marks which are inevitable & happened during the 1st year.

Surat tour got cancelled. Am getting CSC changed on Saturday (as tour cancelled & time available, also 15K service is still 2500 km's away) & shall do waxing tomorrow or on Sunday, finally... Smile

Yeah, well 3M's Paint Protection Kit was what I meant. Teflon coating is a general term for it or that's what people over here call it.Its of two types depending on the car's age.

I'm facing this one typical issue. When the Sun is in front, the glare of dash is reflecting in the front windshield too much. Is there a way out? May be to make dash matt finish from shining Tongue out

Be careful not to shine the dashboard too much, the shiny surface ca reflect sunlight on to your face. Just have a look at the sunlight reflecting on the left side.

Don't try changing the finish/look of the dashboard. It will only spoil the dashboard.  Instead you may try placing some mats like the ones seen in the photo below.  I understand you cannot place these all over but even a few would help reduce the glare to some extent.  Besides, it will help the articles placed thereon not to slide/move.  I use these solely for that purpose.

Thanks, Pankaj. Thats a good Idea. I just have to see the applicability as Linea's Dash is carvacious.

Sandesh - Thats what the glare I was talking about.Mine is more than shown in your pic. And its due to shining dash. I've yet not ever cleaned dash with any liquid. THe cleaning guy does usual cleaning once a week. Thats it

Hi,

I hardly write any thing on the Posts... but i always go through the conversation done my

Mr Pujari.

Today i had a Test Drive of Both Punto & Linea at Wasan Motors Kandivali (E), since i stay in Malad it was just a Next door visit for me ...

I must say that i was Just iMpressed by the Driving Pleasure one get in Linea. there i found no Flaw in it... Just Flaw Less also Test Drove new SX4 VVT with Auto Transmission, but nothing can Beat Linea, also it goes with the Elegant attitude which is missing in SX4.

Linea Pros:

Cabin: Very Spacious. (Both Front & Back)

Seats: very Comfortable.

Shifting Gears: Smooth.

Suspension: Just Awesome.

Fit & Finish: 8/10

Trunk Door: Hydrolic & not Coil like in SX4, Indigo Manza, Swift Dzire.

Cons: None.

Punto: too good a Car, same DNA like Linea.

But Back space is Cramped for a Person like me ... who prefer Back seat more than Driving & with a Ht of 5':10".

Pros: Same like Linea.

Cons: Back Space is too Cramped.

Thanx for Reading,

Gaurav.
