Forgot to comment on the Average fuel consumption on the display. It is one of the most accurate so far Autocar India team had ever driven (they mentioned in their Linea test drive). And from my experience, it is very very accurate. Sometimes, it could be more accurate than even a tankfull to tankfull (which can be inaccurate due to various factors like evaporation, air locks inside tank, varying pumps, etc). The only inaccuracy could be in the incorrect speedo, which Linea has, almost 5% overread. That anyway cannot be corrected in a tankfull to tankfull. Nowadays in any shared trips (specially those adventure trips with friends), I don't measure the amount of fuel I fill. I just reset one of the trip meter from home and read it when I reach home. It is so cool.

What about wheel alignment, which is included in the first free check-up coupon?  Do we have to pay extra for that or is it FOC?

I got the wheel alignment done in 1st sevice. Its mentioned FOC in the service schedule

Actuallly, 1st service is very routine. Nothing but fluid levels check & top up is reqd. should be over in less than 2 hours.

Remember to take out rear quarter glass chrome beading & reattach it with FeviBond or Glass sealant

For top ups, ensure they pour right product - Linea coolant is ParaFlu - Orange color is for Linea, Blue color is for Palio. Even Blue ParaFlu would be ok for Linea.

Selenia K is Engine oil for Linea Petrol

Selenia 5WD 40 is Engine oil for Linea Diesel

Sure, VahanPujari, I will insist on specified coolant/engine oil for my petrol Linea.  We heard of horrific stories of adding the wrong oil and the owner realised after some days only!  Thank you.

Can't take pic as am away from my car Frown

Rear Quarter Glass Chrome beading is the chrom beading which is running on windows edges on doors. the one on the rear (last triangular glass area) are rear quarter glass chrome beadings/ plates. In initial Linea's these tended to come off which I gues now taken care of.  I just mentioned it to check as a precaution. If its loose, better to take it out & fix it again with Fevi Bond

from this week-end, I'm taking Linea on a 2000 km round trip to Gujarat. Can't wait getting my hands on steering !!

Had again visited TASS to get the AC / fan wiring repaired which was damaged by rats. Had to drop the car there as the entire wiring under the dashboard needed to be checked to see what all damage is done. Fortunately, it was only AC/ fan wiring, the cost came to only Rs. 745/- (I expected around Rs. 3k - 4k after I asked a few acquaintances). Earlier damage by rats was Rs. 800-900/- Yell

Mods - Thanks. That Rat issue thread is quite useful. However, it would be helpful if you could post link of the thread where you're moving the post to. This will help to track the moved post & also the thread
