Bala - you're bang on target on both the points. I had Ford Ikon earlier. Had purchased Formula 1 Wax & Dashboard Protectant in 2003 when I bought the car. Both the boxes kept lying with only 1 use for 5.5 years. When I bought Linea, I pulled out both these & consumed F1 wax in 2-3 months. Thereafter I've already bought F1 wax again & then Turtle wax

And yes. Its Goa trip planned suddenlySmile. Shall update about it later.

Since coolant level was decreasing, I had to go to TASS day-before. Guess what? They don't sell this Linea's ParaFlu or any other item Over the counter. Job card needs to be made. When I first asked to add coolant, the guy came with a huge Can of some generic coolant which they use to top up in Indica/go. I asked for Orangish ParaFlu 1 ltr bottle & said balance remaining will be retained by me (just in case its needed during the journey)

Have a nice trip Amit, take a lot of pictures and don't forget to post it,Have a happy week end.

Yeah, about Linea, the care it rightfully warrants is totally justified, for me it's a family member, won't we take good care of a family member???,not just a family member,it's an extension of myself, after the hands it's not the steering,it's me,the steering is so precise and and gives a precise feedback that I dont feel it a machine at all and after the legs it's me and not the brakes or accelarator, they are just perfect and precise that I don't feel anything is different after the legs!

Ashwin,

Warm Welcome to CarWale Forums. I'm sure you'll like the warmth understanding here.

Goa is an assignment since quite some time. Everytime I come here, I look for getting someone as a company so that I can drive down in Linea. Could happen only twice in last 6 months

Nope. Not yet. That problem is kinda unsolvable. The only solution is to find a regular source for getting after market Logo's at cheap prices which is what I intend to do once I'm free. I'll buy 8-10 logo's Laughing

Find a secure parking space whereever you go in India. Good luck on your trip to Goa.

I suggest... after you buy cheap/fake 8-10 logos (buy more I suggest), put those one by one on your car as & when those are stolen.  Retain the original safe at home Tongue out

Hello,

I am facing a very critical problem in my fiat linea petrol.

On completion of 6800 kms, I found the level of engine oil very low, so filled in the same 3.3 lts. Now after 8500kms, total running 1700 kms the oil level has decreased to the same level, which now needs to be refilled. One thing more the exhaust pipe has black soot in it.

Pls suggest what could be the reason of such high oil consumption?

Amit,

Check the floor where you park your car if you are able to find any traces of Oil. This is the only majore source of leakage I am aware of.
