Optra magnum is a fantastic car.

Doc I differ here coz I dont think Chevy's maintenance is high and its at par Skoda. Maintenance of even Ford is not high these days. If I will post each service detail of Ford Fiesta, you will find its nothing. And chevy too is not expensive to maintain. Its OT here otherwise you can check parts prices of even Chevy Spark I posted in my Spark Accident thread.

Decision should be based on Car v/s Car and Personal preferences.

Feedback form is available with every car maker these days and infact after every service you have to fill that form. You can give service feedback. I remember once I got call from Ford and I told her that I am not satisfied with Washing and I was impressed when I got call from the workshop and advisor said Sorry sir, Please come again for washing.

So, every car maker knows customer wants good service

Regarding SX4, this is one of the best car from Maruti Suzuki aur mai isey bolta hu, Sardaran Di Gaddi I have so many surd friends and SX4 is very comfortable for them.

Honda City is for long term buy, buy and forget for next 6/7 years, hence if someone is planning to keep same car for 7/9 years this is the sedan.

SX4 is good Maruti sedan car.

Optra is spacious, petrol has less mileage but diesel is useful if its fitting in someones budget. There are regular queries on maintenance hence Chervolet has introduced "maintenance assurance" where the cost of regular servicing is does not exceed certain amount (approx 16000 rupees) upto 45,000 km and is this amount is paid in advance then it comes around 12,500 rupees. There is warranty upto three years/1,00,000 km . Hence if this car is in your budget, monthly running is high, looking for space then Optra diesel can be your car.

People have genuinely put their Reviwes and personal experiences in last few posts[Although i am not a judge but feel more honoured to have some honest replies to posts] and i agree with all except "KEEPING HONDA FOR 6-7YRS"

Engine =no problem,But makeover so frequent does affect Car image,And the older version owners feel more Sidelined keeping apart lesser value in the market when you sell your old version when the time comes for a Vehicle change.

Its just purely out of the scenario i have seen with all HONDA vehicles ,from CRV -CIty-Civic.

HONDA simply dont feel like giving up just because they know they have Somewhat superior vehicle engine but not the best in looks.

Agreed that Market trends change,But i dont see that happening frequently with other manufacturers.

Even if SX4 or Optra or Verna manages to sell 1/3rd of the total of HONDA,i feel its pretty decent enough.

If at all they wish to give more to people, they should launch a completely diff vehicle keeping their engines same.[Imagine Naming Kizashi as SX4 2]

Which nevertheless never happens.

Customers are at the recieving end and they should give them due importance.

They exist because of customers and demand by them.

Then why not deliver them what they want.

And yes i disagree to anyone who says maintenance on HONDA is anyway cheaper to any of the MAnufacturers,Not even close.

They treat you royaly and do charge you with the same margin,Which otherwise cant be cheaper than manufacturers who get their spare parts made in india.

Well said Dr.Abyshines

I personally do feel that HONDA pricing kills but then when u talk about after sales, road presence, comfort and over all styling no 1 can beat them

but they should really do something on the pricing part i mean 1.5 lacs extra if u compare it with SX4 Yell

please please please help me ??

I want to know if i can get any discounts coz i need to buy ANHC by end nov or 1st weel of dec

waiting...............

As far as HONDA dealers are concerned, they have so much of air about themselves. So expecting discounts from them for a car that is selling like hot cake is hoping hope against hopes.

Surely your pick is good.

Then why tease yourself for more discounts and stuff.

You can try different Dealers for deals and stuff.

It might help.

In case yo really wish to spend so much money on yor car, better to go for Cruze by Chevy ,it is much bigger and better car ,or even Civic is better as the Civic has better road manners and does not touch speed breakers as much as the NHC does

Looks like the City is better, overall. What is sad is that the SX4 is quite a good car in its own right. If I were living in a city, I would want to show off with a Honda City, but the practical side would tell me that when it comes to the regular trip to the countryside, the SX4 would serve me better. So the SX4 should sell better. But it does not. Why? Maruti-Suzuki priced SX4 so close to the Honda City. would at least be a lakh cheaper than the Honda City. Not so. There is a price difference at the bottom, though.

Then there is the brand. I have never believed that those who buy class in this cars are more driven by the car as a status symbol, not by its VFM proposition. Guess I was wrong. For many, anything from Maruti – Suzuki cannot be a status-symbol. Sad, that.

I am bigger than anything that can happen to me. All these things, sorrow, misfortune, and suffering, are outside my door. I am in the house and I have the key.

Trends change with changing times, and with time Suzuki/Maruti has achieved it to an extent.

The race being endless so going by rules is not applied here.

I feel HONDA as a brand loosing its presence with monotonous approach with all its cars,In fact they have a very little flexibility as far as its models are concerned.

You cant expect a new runner to achieve fame overnight,Maruti as a brand fulfills more dreams than standalone any car manufacturer.

Keeping aside this view of mine well i can smell great things coming from Maruti stable as well.

I obviously dont rate it to see it emerge as BMW or MERC but certainly time has more in stored for us than present day situation of monopoly.

AUTO giants are weiry that they might run into trouble if they fail to woo customers [GM i.e]at large,Needless to mention that group includes middle class and upper middle class families as well.

Success is not achieved through superior quality alone, nor it is through cheap mass production.

The recent shift from Expensive, futuristic cars to more durable, reasonable price tag,And better equipped cars say all the story not just in india alone but through out the world.

FIAT learned it and is steaming ahead, but then success is not stationary not even for a "BRAND" like HONDA or GM.Innocent
