R14!!!!!, is overkill.please dont do that,it will scrap very badly.I dont recommend upsizeing the diameter of the tyre.If you want to upgrade go for slightly wider tyres.

Hi Ashish,

Omkar said it correctly. Exceeding recommended size may hamper your car performance in terms of pick-up, stabality, handling and more. Tyre plays a vital role to meet the expected performance.

Alto come with 145/80R12 factory fittings. 155/65R13 is the one suggested by MICHELIN Energy XM1+ for Alto.

I would suggest you to visit a good tyre shop and consult their professional..

Our carwale experts and/or members may respond you with some good suggetions.

For upgrading the tyre size then 155/65 R3 Michelins XM1 is brilliant option for you. Alto which is going for export is fitted with 155/65 R3 size.

The best part of Michelins tyre is its performance on wet roads. It is as if you are driving on dry roads. However Michelins tyre use soft rubber and hence its life might be little less – around 30,000 KM.

Disclaimer: I am not the expert -- I just happened to post this after Neo’ call for Carwale experts.

What will the approximate cost for Alloys for Alto?

Does Change of Alloys will require to move to tubeless tyres? What will be total cost of Alloys + tubeless tyres?

Hi jey,

The alloys will cost approx 10-12k depending on the brand.4 tyres will come for 8-9k.No,changing to alloy will not require to move to tubeless.Tube type will do fine. But tubeless are far better.
