HI GUYS

IM THINKING OF FITTING HID TO MY INNOVA AND FORD IKON TDCI.

SUGGESTIONS WELCOME .

IM FROM HIMACHAL AND THERE IS NO ONE WHO CAN GET IT DONE FOR ME OR EVEN IF I WOULD LIKE TO DO A RETROFIT THERE IS NO ONE FROM WHOM I CAN BUY THE HID/PROJECTORS.

IS IT ADVISABLE TO INSTALL HID ?????????

I drive a New Honda Civic Tafeta White 1.8V MT which is 6 months old.. I am planning to swithch my OEM Headlights with projector xenon setup.. you know the one with Angel Eyes and strip lights..I have many queries..

1. How ll it look on my white beauty ?

2. Will it void my warranty? I ll be getting it done by a reliable expert who does this sort of work on  high end cars..

3. What about legal issues.. I am of the understanding that cheap white and coloured lights without projectors are the ones that are illegal and harmful.. Besides... Camry and Beemers and Skodas do come with OEM Projectors Right....?

4. What K xenons do you guys recommend.. 6000K Crystal White was suggested by my tech guy ..

5. I have been quoted a cost of about 55K for the entire work.. Is it alright?

6. Can anybody who own such a beauty post pics if possible..

Thank You

@rajaraajan, there are aftermarket projector headlight which are much reliable than the custom one,if you have bought the headlight, take your car to the authorised service station which won't void the warranty.

I was told that the unit that i am gonna be installed with are made for Civic and are outsourced from some place. It takes 10 to 15 days to be delivered. Is it one of the custom ones or aftermarket good ones.. I asked Honda Service.. I dont think they d install anything not OEM in my baby

Dear Raja rajan,

1. It will void your warranty. The honda service centres may refuse any warranty stating that you have got this done.

2. Please retain the original wiring intact and do not cut any wires.

3. Cost seems to be fine if it includes a fresh pair of assemlies, bulbs, ballast and installation

4. Opt for 6000k in the low beam and 4300k for high beam.

Legally there wont be a problem as you are within the wattage, but cops may flag you down and may ask you an explanation.
