Grandeur, Cool pic! Noticed the AcB 17.4 km/l - very good FE considering the lousy Mumbai traffic you drive in!

Friends,

During test drive and going by the brochure, the turning radius is a bit on the high side for Punto. What are your experiences in city traffic, particularly when moving in and out of tight parking slots?

Srinivas,

I will share my personal experience regarding this: Yes, the turning radius is on the higher side and I took around 4-5 days to get used to this.

I hope this helps.

Cheers,
Naveen

Sai, My city driving is mostly done in Navi Mumbai and you could say we are still blessed to drive at ease. As Krsihna pointed out, My GP is giving me an average of 17-18 KPL in Navi Mumbai City Driving. As compared to people getting around 14-15 KPL in Mumbai traffic.

However, the handling is quite comfortable once you get use to it. Because of it's sitting posture and steering. Gear shifting gets smoother as the KMs gets increase in odometer. Braking with ABS is boon, and you don't lose confidence and handling over vehicle specially when you need to apply breaks all of a sudden, which is quite common in city traffic.

I hope this helps!

Srinivas, I agree ...turning radius may disappoints you, but I'm sure you'll get accustomed to it as Naveen said; within a week. And, this is something can be ignored with other features present in the car, beside its handling and build quality.

Cheers!

In tight parking slots in particular, it may cause a little inconvenience.  Otherwise (elsewhere), like Naveen & Sandeep have said, it's a matter of getting used to it.

guys, i have got my electric blue 1.3 emotion gp, done about 4k kms on it already, since diwali delivery. wat is really bugging me in an otherwise gem of a car is the tendency of its front bumper scraping the road at the slightest excuse, even while getting out of navi mumbai fortune motors !

i think its suspension might need to be tweaked or something.. any one else facing this?

otherwise the ownership experience is next level, what with trip computer and music volume changing with speed n all! whoa wat features they have packed!
