Hi yash,saw your query.

It was the refill i was talking about and not the complete fill.Like you said even my cylinder with 14kg capacity needs 190 rupee worth of CNG at pressure of 200.

Pressure of >200 is not approved by govt on any pumps and beyond that point the CNG station is at risk and needs more stringent safety measures.

It was in the air that Govt might increase the pump pressure to 250 which is very well ruled out at present owing to Safety and handling issues with CN Gas.

Every gas behaves differently at varied pressures ,and so does CNG.

@dr.Abyshine : Okay, now I understood. Well thats really great to hear that your SX4 is giving you this kind of optimum mileage. Do we have to service our CNG kit from some kind of special oulets or it can be taken care by the hyundai service stations...?

The recent trip to Ambala with four passengers overboard ,and cruising at speeds of 100+KMPH-i managed to recieve a mileage of 140 km with mild Ac on

So dividing 185 Rs by 140 gave a mileage of 1.32 Rs to a KM which i think is more than marvellous.

Heres the Speedo reading with CNG,i didnt go beyond this considering the Engine wear and tear with Less lubricating CNG.

Needless to mention my dads scoldings at the end.LOLz

Besides i did go beyond 120kmph but didnt click the pic owing to a possible disaster after what all i had experienced during the trip.

Do note the km reading 88 on the ODO,this is Post two near disasters after 50 km reading on odo during My trip to AmbalaInnocent.

Do pardon that ECM light which Fails to go away even after complete Kit Wiring reinstalled and changing to Tomaestto advancer and Lambda and also Getting whole ECM scanned and memory wash at the end.

Wish someone can thorw aome light on the ECM Light

I really dont think apart from regular checking of the Tank Belt harness's Secureness and possible leaks in the boot and the engine bay,We need to check other things.

Fact being when the time comes, you will not be able to run the engine on CNG with the electronics[CNG kit] going nutts, hence time to recheck and change the Faulty parts.

Maintenance well i think thats all is required,An open mind and preservence.Innocent

I dint note the RPM reading, saw it after posting the pic.

I think that gives more scope for 120+ Cruising.Tongue out

I forgot to mention that i had left some gas in the tank, and didnt exhaust it completely.

When the indicator light became red i switched to Petrol giving due respect to my dads' request.Forgot to ask him though the reason!Innocent

When the indicator light became red i switched to Petrol

Why so ? Is there any risk involved. I love to drive when the light is red as its an indicator that the vehicle has come in reserved mode which means fuel vent will automatically become tight and significantly mileage will get a boost and moreover it always help me to check my mileage which inspires me to drive car more carefully to beat my last record...just personal...!!!Smile

Good.
I dont know the reason nor do i think there be any harm in that.

Have driven that way only once since past two months and half of Cng installed.

I become panicky and sad seeing each Indicator going down,Like them all bright and in glory.

May be some syndrome you can say but it is very true.

There are times when i get a refill of mere Rs 50.

LOLz.

May be i think the reason being any emergent situation where time is more important than sitting at my favourite pump,so i make a habit, whenever i am passing by that pump[which gives more mileage to the gas-because it has direct supply from IGPL] i get my tank full.Innocent

Is this really true ? Is there any difference in gas coming from exclusive IGPL and from other pumps...is there any adultration ? Scary, the nearest IGPL is 4 kms from my house and I refill from just an ordinary pump which is 400 metres away.

Do the small research and find out the answer.

Well i learnt it long back when my indicators use to fall early than the last time,i figured it out.

Now i know couple of Pumps with same pressure but they give different[More] mileage ,no matter how i drive-[although my research was with more behaved driving ]

So that makes me conclude that either they have some faulty meters,or adulterated gas.

Sometimes i feel like highlighting it to Consumer court or something like media-But who would believe me unless they have one installed.

But i am sure when i have more conclusive evidence of the same with my experience over time,i will surely highlight it to some media channel.

[Reason why we dont care much is the fact that its already so cheap-CNG Running, but seldom we know,we all loosing lakhs of money everyday by these malpractices]

The list of pumps-[using same pressure of 200 ,giving more mileage=]

1.Petrol pump at Hari nagar near Deen dayal hospital, hari nagar.

2.CNG IGL Pump at Jail Road.

Guys if you know more pumps which gives you more mileage for every refill you do,kindly post them here in the list and let this list grow.

I meant by engine Wear comparable to petrol but not to the extent that we can make out the difference,if that would have been the case we would not have excepted CNG over petrol in the first place.

Tongue out
