I drive a Dec 07 Hyundai i10 Era(1.1L).Recently i started noticing a very soft 'whining' sound from the engine at particular rpms.When i rev hard the noise disappears and it appears when i come back to low revs.I took my car to Hyundai service and reported the problem to service advisor.After noticing the mild sound the service guy suggested that a 'tappet'adjustment is required.After going through the thread i think many are facing similar problems.Generally how much does it cost to do this sdjustment?is it ok to drive the car with the mild noise?does the noise signal an impending major issue?please help me out
