All your points are valid. However, sun control films may not be a solution to mask a poor quality. Films are banned in few places and are also a danger to road users as they prevent clear vision through the car for other drivers to see what is ahead of it. I have seen cars sporting almost opaque films-they create a blind spot on the road for drivers who believe in disciplined lane driving. I strongly encourage drivers to avoid sun films in their cars to help prevent crimes and forced accidents as mentined. Infact sun films are banned even in hot countries like the Gulf for above reason. Our govt needs to enforce this in interest of public safety.
That being said, the AC on my Ritz has been like this right from the begenning when I bought it. I have complained about it at every service to the service incharge who invariably has returned it with "OK". This is not a progressing problem with the the car's age. I have only used my car for 13k km to date, and hence do not feel that is the issue. Out station drives in daylight are also a problem becouse the AC is least effective then. Incedentally, I have seen other cars ( non Maruti) where the AC to be more effective.
I feel there is a design shortcomming here from Maruti. By the way, the A/c at night is ok- cool as Baqngalore sports temp arount 20-25C. So I guess the AC has a smaller challenge then. I feel day temps are a better test in validating the ac's effectiveness.
