dear talwar

noted. i too have the similar confusions in the 3 cylinder version.

i read, WV also have 4 cylinder versions in top end models.

if u could explain in details - 3 cylinder vs 4 cylinder, it would be much more useful.

also, some one says, there r latest versions in 3 cylinders of "v" type, which may be very light and fuel effecient.

is it right ? or u have any alternate suggestions towards that.- i mean 3 vs 4 cylinder

If your Budget is 8 L, you should go for a Sedan else go for a Honda Jazz, incase you are looking for value fro money the Ritz Diesel is the best buy.

dear sagar,

sorry, the net got disconnected.

as we have good range of models in our co, we have good experience with different brands.

in our experience, maruthi and hyundai gives better service. innova, audi are new to us and we have to wait and see their service support.

honda crv - we dont hav much complaints on service parts.

but, as far as fiat is concerned, we are not sure. mr.bala has given some positive hopes to me here, as he feel, he is much comfortable with his "linea"

and the excellent point, which u have mentioned is " not to buy a new car, which has become old, as it is seen every where in the street - swift". i have the same opinion on that.

i use to drive 80 to 100 kms/ day. i am lover of driving cars.

my boss wish to offer me - volkswagen - polo. he is also interested in " fiat punto"

if u come across, any news/ info about volkswagen's polo, please inform me.

thanks for your valid infos.

You are correct and the service experience of Fiat was not good. But from Linea and Punto on wards there is a serious effort from Fiat to change that image from the days of Palio, Siena and Petra.

Recently Fiat introduced "Fiat First" programme for service alongwith Raodside assistance program for all Fiat cars - this shows the seriousness of Fiat this time.

As a owner of Linea for last few months my experience on Fiat service is pretty good

Rajani Khanth,

The offer on Punto for free insurance, free 2 years extended warranty, free 4 years road side assistance has been extended till the 31st of Oct. So incase, you are deciding on the Punto, this is the ideal time to buy it. You can also bargain for accessories.

Cheers,
Naveen

dear pravin tyagi

noted the details.

if u get any infos on "polo" ( volkswagen) please inform.

Polo is expected to be launched early 2010 and the price range is expected to be 4.5 lakhs.

The space in the rear is not great in Polo but it is expected to come with excellent build quality, ride and handling and fantastic mileage. In all these aspects it will be on par or better than Punto - though not in terms of features

But note that VW is not known for good service and their spare parts as well as service costs are expensive. Further thier network is small

Fiat punto spare parts are very less and come close to Maruti cars and the service frequency is 15000 KMs unlike 3000 or 5000 of other hatchbacks. Further Fiat is making all efforts to improve their service.

As VW wants to price Polo very competitively, do not expect great features in Polo. Their aim to price competitively and capture some good share.

dear victor

read all ur messages.

thanks for sharing / giving useful infos.

anyhow, the decision for purchase is kept pending, till the launch of "polo". even today i spoke to the sales person of wv. he said, they have planned to deploy all the  features to ensure the safety and luxury part of driver and passenger.

and thanks for sharing info on "fiat". one of my friend is also having "linea". he set his mind on bad service back up. he says, fiat is slowly changing his mindset. he also gave me a comment that, "linea" customer may get better service than " punto" . it is just for joke, he added.

anyhow, thanks for sending valuable infos.
