The manza is an tata ans all tata cars are spacious,if u go for long highway drives and love raer space then manza is acar for u.

It,s plastics are of good quality and looks much better than the dzire.

The manza,s engine is an fiat one,so there is hardly and compromise on power .

The manza does 90 PS and the dzire does 85 PS @6000 rpm.

And the manza does not carry the taxi image.

The manza has a more modern endine and is a good car to drive.

Manza has the feature of folding rear seats which is not at available in the dzire/fiesta/aveo.

So manza wins hands down on everything.

Hey its not I who says that the Indica is not to be compared to the Swift, its Tata itselves! Tata compares the Indica to cars like the Alto and the WagonR, which are clearly a sub-segment below the Swift. :P

Plus space is not everything, otherwise everyone would buy a lorry or a bus.

Hey anand

The swift is an segment above the indica .

Only the vista can be compared to the swift.

The indica is compared to with cars like santro.

And the indica xeta and the alto vxi are in the same range.

Also indica is the cheapest diesel available in the country.

It is more powerful than the alto ,it has more space and fells more robust than the alto.

While travelling in an alto u will have to turn off hte ac to overtake and this is no case in indica.

Indica zooms on the highway at 145+ speeds while the alto is dying to cross 120 kmph.

Hi,

The three cars spoken of have their merits and demerits as well. I have the privilege of test driving all these three:

Linea:

It is in a slightly higher leage in its fit, finish and pricing. However, the car is tremendously under powered, especially at low rpms. It has only a fixed geometry turbo, which spews the power only beyond 1800  - 2000 rpm. The back seat is plush alright but laks space,

Dzire:

Looks do not please many. This also has a fixed geometry turbo and effects will be like linea. But the overall weight of this car is about 150 kgs less than linea and hence can perform slightly better. Its clutch pedals & steering are much softer cpmpared with manza. It laks space at the back seat and interiors are very bland. Imagine the patience needed to wait for it for 4 to 6 months, when globe is crying about auto recession.

Manza:

lookwise it ia much better than Dzire. Even the interiors are better than dzire but much less in quality comared to linea. It beats all the other cars in back seat space - sprawilng space indeed. Features for the price of manza beats the others. It has been provided with Variable geometry turbo, wchich provides smooth accelaration at all rpms and hence I found both city driving and highway driving much more comfortable compared with the other two. Its ride quality on slight blemishes on the city roads out beats Dzire. But, the negatives in my opinion are: 1. The hard clutch pedals and 2. Stiffer steering wheels.

Now, it is for the individual to choose.

The linea costs around 2 lakh more than the manza and the dzire.

Also linea is compared with sx4/city/ventoetc.

Dzire and the Manza are of the same segment.

It makes no sense comparing an indica with an endeavour or an segment.

And what makes anand think that indica ans wagonr are not in the same segment.

Indica is full of power.

If one has an family of five and/or loves going on long drives then indica is an car for u.

If u have a small family and will be usually travelling in the city then go for an wagon r.

The swift costa a whooping 2 lakh more than the indica v2,yhe swift is compared to the vista.

I made that comparison strictly in response to a general statement that "the cluch pressure required is proportional to the power the engine is capable of delivering", as stated by Karunanidhi. See, even if the Endeavour is a bigger, heavier and a much more powerful car its clutch is much lighter than the Tata Indica. This is all to do with engineering and quality, if you ask me.

The endeavour even costs more than the indica so one can afford costly and nice to use parts while the indica costs peanuts.
