Hi,

I have a TN registration CAR. I have applied for NOC to transfer to karnataka and got that also. But due to some personal reasons i have not shifted to karnataka. TN RTO has issued me the 2 copies of form 28. Those 2 copies are with me only. I have not given that to any RTO in Karnataka. Date of issue of NOC is may 2008.

Now, i want to cancel the NOC given by TN RTO and sell this vehicle to my friend(in TN only). What is the procedure for that?

TN RTO is asking a letter from KA RTO staing vehicle is not registered in karnataka.

But KA RTO is not ready to issue such letter as there is no Roadtax is paid and there is no record for the entry of vehicle in karnataka.

I am confused, Please suggest. Help much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Regards,

Senthil

True, for cancellation of NOC, the RTO concerned would insist for a certificate from the other RTO stating that registration/re-registration has not been effected (though it is evident from the RC Book).

KA RTO should not have any problem in certifying so.  After all they just need to certify their own findings...

NOC can be revalidated or cancelled & issued afresh. However, for the purpose, as discussed before in the other case, Bangalore RTO would insist you to produce a certificate from Pune RTO stating that the bike has not registered/re-registered with them (though it may be evident from the RC Book).

I have taken NOC from Patna RTO for transfer my bike from Patna to Haldia, West Bengal. But due to some problem I could not re-register my bike at Haldia RTO, Is there any provision for cancellation of NOC, so that my bike should be registered only in Patna RTO.

Yes, NOC can be cancelled.  The registration will be restored back at Patna.  Patna RTO would, however, ask for a certificate from Haldia RTO stating that the bike was not registered with them.
