Hi Frenz,

Some of you know that I was plannin for A-star ZXi. But here comes the twister one day my wife got  a bad dream or what, she ignored all my efforts and tod that I dont feel like sittin in a car but like I'm trapped in a small box where I can not even breathe properly.

Cuttin short the story that she didnt like A-star and wants Ritz as our first car. Now I am confused because I dont have a dislike for Ritz but is it worth spending 1L more for just a feel of tall boy, steerin mounted audio control, driver seat height adjuster, 60:40 spit rear seat. ZXi is the only option open to me as we both want safety features at its best.

Or should I try my best to convince my wife who doesnt seem to get convinced by any means. But if you guyz can provide some inputs I can do it better.

Car will be used mostly for office goin (around 1000 KMs per month) so mileage should be good. Then comes handling, safety, smooth drive, ASS, Resale vaue and lastly looks.

No baba its not the confusion i am talking about, its just we all get tempted...

but here your temptations are for good...Probably a more refined, much spacious[incase you have quadruplets one day]LOLs

And more recent model from suzuki...

I think i mentioned it to you to go for Ritz...[Cant recall whether the reasons were same or different...]Laughing

Its not about just one lakh, but about the shift in the segment which is safe to invest in anyday...

You gotta start from somewhere, neither did my dad ever repented of buying M8oo back in time some 20 years ago nor do i feel we would have repented taking a Fiat NE either...

Its your first car and definately has to be Ritz...Probably you are asking the right question,RESALE VLUE!

Well its good only for those vehicles which are more recent[both fit in here]

And also which are well priced,A-star is on the higher side compared to Ritz,

Besides A-star failed to make its place unlike Swift...[reasons completely unrelated to price factor here]

So you see at the end of the day a petrol Ritz will definately serve you well, hassle free and ofcourse even you sell it after few years it will score better than A-Star anyday...

How many of us will prefer to own A-star[second hand vehicle],for even 2 lakh rupees???

And that is Gouri because of practical purposes,Daily use,Space and definately the tag behind it...

A-Star although being a good vehicle has somewhat faced a rough road ever since its launch...

And Ritz has no stopping at the score charts, lest you opt for something which few members have said as awesomely dawsome car-Punto!!!
Well i dont wanna speak about it at all considering Services and Resale and Brand to be important deciding factor alone when i am buying a car for myself...

So finaly to your last worry,Well Gouri Shankar, you will realise that no matter what car you buy,you will fall in love with it,and will definately try to get accustomed to it ,no matter how hard it is to you....

Its only till the time we buy a car that these minor issues plague us down, but when you have bought the car ,you will realise that these things have not mattered anyway...

she ignored all my efforts and tod that I dont feel like sittin in a car but like I'm trapped in a small box where I can not even breathe properly.

Exact same feeling .. exact some feeling I felt many times not only 1-2 times.. I took TD more than 5 times but when I sit on driver seat its just ok else i started to feel bad feelings that I am a prisoner in a small cell .. believe me I did not feel like this in any car by today.

1. get in and get out from the car is a real pain. "worst" I can say

2. I am just 175cm (5feet9 inch) and everytime can not seat on driver seat without too much efforts .. steering stuck with your legs during in and out from the car.

3. I canceled my Astar zxi booking after taking more than 5 TD except money it does not convienece me anywhere.

4. I think its smallest car of India even maruti 800/alto feels spacious even nano is far spacious than this.

5. I think it has worst bootspace among all cars running in India..

Gouri I am desparate to get a Ritz zxi at home but having budget of Ritz vxi (4.6 with music system)

what I am doing now I am waiting ... waiting for what ?

waiting for more money to get ritz or i10 asta ( 5.20 , 4.90 respectively) or

Chevrolet Beat 4.5 lakh complete ..

there are just 2 months (launching on 15th dec)

patience can pay you a lot if you can wait a little

want to see pictures of real Beat on indian road and want to know more about Beat ?

here is the link > http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian-car-scene/51846-new-gm-chevrolet-beat-scoop-pics-pg-6-12-18-details-pg-16-a-19.html

study complete post . each and every page and you will get lot of pictures in the post of beat plus specifications Cheers !

and take a look at  this also > http://www.autoevolution.com/news/new-matiz-scores-highest-in-kidi-crash-tests-11375.html

and Gouri forget Astar at all .. do not even think such a car even exsists on the planet

I would suggest that you go ahead with ritz as it's more spacious than a-star. The rears are far more better than a-star. When i went to the showroom to check the car out, the rear leg room put me off. I couldn't even move my feet, it's claustrophobic inside. Also I feel ritz is far better looking than a-star (this is purely subjective and depends upon individual taste). For your running of 1000 km/month, diesel is a good option.

                                                                                                         Cheers.

Thanx Sachin and Amit for your inputs.

I am kinda decided to go for Ritz ZXi. Earlier it was by force now it is by choice.

Now I want help from all the Ritz owners here to post their car's pix as I need to decide on colors. My likings are towards Bakers Chocolate, Glistening Grey and Brick Red in particular order.

But I haven't seen any color properly i.e. on the road to satisfaction of my eyes so might be the pix will help me to conclude.

And last but not the least please don't forget to mention the discount and accessories given by Dealers.

I am beeing offered 5K discount with mud flaps, mats, steering cover and perfume. But I think I can manage another 2K at the time of booking. Is it a good deal or shud I ask for more.

Congrats Gouri, Go for Ritz with your eyes closed.

Regarding colours, almost all Ritz colors are good and refreshing. But Ritz zxi has two type of dualtone dashboard colours. Blue & Black dashboard for 'Blue, Silver, White and Black body colours', Grey & Black for 'Green, Grey,Red & Bakers Choc body colours'

Here is my Ritz.

In the Blue Blazee..!

I feel Brick red is the colour that goes well,

My personal point of view is that it enjoys the advantage of a dark colour minus the disadvantage of the white[maibtenance]

Black on contarary needs lot of polishing to keep it look shining...

All coulours that are bad reflectors,i.e you seldom see your face in their mirror reflection body paint...

Black has a very good reflection but minor dents scratches are blown out of proportion...

Grey is a dull colour...

White is comman...

Chocolate and red are the ones you should consider...

Brick red in particular, the one like the Honda CIvic...

Its a low maintenance colour...

You will hardly notice droppings,Fly shit on it...LOLzInnocent

I am happy you chose the right one...

As far as GM is concerned, avoid them to best yet best after Maruti...

I mean they charge you well for ASS...they cost you more on part repairs also...
