You must have heard of "SPEEDO ERROR" and that every vehicle shows  a significant error in the dials and that it INCREASES WITH SPEED.

With your arguement, my Accord touches 240kmph(Indicated speed on the speedo) ...

whereas my GPS shows a REALITIME SPEED of 209kmph ...

That's my point.

Any way whatever the error may be ...still the crux of the matter lies in the fact that I and most of the drivers are not MotoCross drivers. As said above by Maverick we only get to touch 100+ on highways and may be 120+ only on the expressways.

Making a Racing car is well in the capacity of the Fiat people After all the Fiat people also make Ferraris!

The fact lies in the point that the Linea gives the best performance in the speed we use most! I and most of the people love it that way!

Speedo error is 170 kmph (or may be 190 kmph) - 120 kmph = 50 kmph OR 70 kmph ??? 120 kmph is what claimed by you & 170 kmph is what I drove not once but often, 190 kmph is driven by someone (link posted in following post). There is a video on YouTube posted by Sathya_SC from T-BHP showing 180 kmph.

Speedo error of 50 / 70 kmph is not possible.

I had to drive a Linea or a week from my office car fleet and I know the car pretty well and I am very well conversed with its "capabilties" ...

Anyone who has driven "REAL CARS" would understand standards of motoring ..

I had an entire stretch of Nation highway roads ahead and the damn car is pathetic and sluggish and un responsive.

I did not find Linea "RESPONSIVE AND POWERFUL"

Well I dont know what you mean by the term "REAL CAR".

I believed that the meaning of car is "An automobilemotor car or car is a wheeled motor vehicle used for transporting passengers, which also carries its own engine or motor" as posted in wikipedia.

check it out at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Car

And for one at least won't be sitting in the"REAL CAR" .......I value my life more than speed!

First of all, FIAt just owns FERRARI . THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH BULIDNG OR MAKING THEM.

The same way that VOLKSWAGEN just owns AUDI, LAMBO and BUGATTI .. and HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE DESIGN OR MANUFACTURING ..

Thses are SIMPLY "TAKEOVERS' and they make NO CHANGES TO THE TECHNICAL MANAGEMENTS in these companies ...

 Ummm....190 kmph?

170 kmph is done by me not once but often. EFFORTLESSLY

180 KMPH is done by a T-BHP member Sathya_SC who posted a video showing the same on YouTube & posted it on forum also. So many advocates of other "Powerful" cars could not digest & raised moralities of posting speed video & Sathya deleted it with good intentions.

190 kmph which I mentioned - You'll have to take an effort to read this link below

Now I dont know what you mean by making and manufacturing.... is it not so the owners always get the knowhow and the technology!

I bet me and everyone here including you always buys things which one decides to be a best buy. One which suits ones needs! I am not defending the Linea. I am only stating facts.

One week of driving isn't sufficient enough to understand the car well.

Regarding "overtaking companies" ..

When a company(say TATA) takes over a another company( say Jagauar ), all it does is simply BUY the company. It does nothing else but run it with their own MANAGER AND MDs , and simply make PROFITS from them ...

The company taking over has nothing to do with the engineering of its products , it   simply markets them and  sells them.

Just for information, I own a Honda Accord 2.4( new one) and an Sx4 ZXi and a Swift Zxi.

I am given cars from the office when I am visting sites.

Till now, the worst must be a Linea car i have driven in my life and seriously repent having driven that for an entire week ..

Forget about the Accord, or SX4 .. even my SWIFT is a million times better than a LINEA although its a whole segment lower ..

maybe people who have driven PALIO 1.2 may find Linea as the "best car" around Wink
